Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
THERE is the mana dork I was expecting. Dinsaur tribal needed something there to help get it going. Also, welcome to the ongoing war in the development department of "how do we make a mana dork that might appeal to modern / Commander players while not printing another Elvish Mystic or Birds of Paradise". We are literally in the set for the lost lands and they didn't print Birds of Paradise. Somehow this feels like a flavor fail.
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Honestly I think this is just what the dino deck needs to become playble.
I ain't even mad. That said, from here on out, please try to avoid that specific can of wurms, please and thank y'all.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Even compared to Llanowar Elves you can't complain about this. Llanowar is a 1 cmc dork that only makes one color of mana. This is a 1G dork, that makes any color of mana. That by itself is directly on the power scale with Llanowar.
Then it even has the upside of being a relevant body later in the game if you're playing dinos.
This is a very nice card and any claims that it's too weak are inherently unfounded.

Honestly shocked it isn't legendary. It seems fine tho. It falls into the current Standard play pattern of 'Kill my 2 drop or watch me run away with the game.'
If we can't get Elvish Mystic back, at least we should get some decent 2 cmc mana dorks.
And like Servant of the Conduit, this fits the bill nicely
It's actually a bit better than the servant as a mana dork since it doesn't depend on energy to work. Servant of the Conduit was a more aggressive card that was sort of designed like a swiss army knife for decks at the time.

I mean we all knew we weren't going to get llanowar elves clones back in standard, but we could always hold out hope that wizards would print a more pushed form of mana generation that isn't as unconditional as elves, like when we had lotus cobra + fetchlands. This is no lotus cobra. Wizards aren't going to play around with that boundary at all
Oh yeah he was playable. I remember using Werebear before in a few decks that played with the graveyard, though threshold at the time took longer to achieve than delirium did. Also, thanks for reminding me of the days where we didn't have flip cards that make sleeving a choir.

Ahem...yeah, this is a pretty good mana dork for Dinos. Even compares favorably to Beastcaller Savant; being a hasty mana dork doesn't amount to much when you only get one free mana out of it.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
yes, i'm going to get flamed for this.
it won't see play.
comparisons to werebear show that those comparing it never actually used werebear in a format where discard mattered.
the dinosaurs revealed thus far show that this thing is junk.
I'm hoping we see a Dinosaur of Paradise, just an ancestral dino of Birds of Paradise that shows where it evolved from. This is a nice mana dork though.
