By the time Huatli drops, you could easily have a Siren Stormtamer on the field ready to counter that Strike. For Naya colors, there's Heroic Intervention. Not to mention, you get priority before the opponent can actually cast anything, so her loyalty will go up to 5 before they can fire off the Strike.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
With respect to Commander, is she Naya or Boros? Based on the MTGCommander color identity description, only mana symbols count towards color identity. However the comprehensive rules also mention characteristic-defining abilities, and I just wasn't sure if the mere mention of a color in the text applies to the color identity.
I would say from a flavor perspective she is Naya.

Just not sure how she's defined by the rules.
Thanks.
Color identity in EDH is only tied to mana symbols/color indicators on cards, mentioning a color in rules text or even creating off-color tokens doesn't change the color identity of a card; any EDH deck could use Dark Depths, for instance, even though the Marit Lage token is black. Huatli does not require you to play green.

Heroic Intervention won't save Huatli from a Lightning Strike, as it will never target her and Indestructibility won't help when she loses all of her counters.
And the Siren delays playing her by at least a turn.
I don't think Huatli is that bad, honestly, but there needs to be perspective in both what can protect her and how much protection you can run...
I like it, but someone done goofed in making this r/w and not r/g. None of these abilities are white.
White traditionally cares about creature volume not power, thats green, and definitely not red.
The token is too big, with trample, and an equally fat ass, to also be anything but green.
The ultimate is as red as red gets.
So... wtfbbq?
Soul's Grace Yeah, "power matters" was a Naya thing, but still, we do have precedent.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

On phasing:
It's similar to how Ezuri, Claw of Progress' deck ran Scytheclaw.
