No no no, all those little ships are battleships... the big one is the flagship. It's a different card and is an 8/13.

(U/B) is :symbu: or :symub: and the same is true for the other 9 hybrid symbols with their two colors in for the last 2 leters of the code. ((2/B) and co are :sym2b:)

Ugh, I get it - the vehicle thing fits the pirate theme perfectly. But I despise vehicles. Really sad to see them spoiling this otherwise amazing set so far. No other complaints outside of these things.
On the flip side, as outrageous as the size of the ship is, I think the art is super cool and very fantasy driven. I love that aspect
So far Vegicles experiencing a massive downgrade from da KLD ones.
They exagerate it as usual.
Imo this thing coulda been an uncommon cteature too for that power/cost ratio
I really wonder though if there will be mythic vehicle.
Not in this set, unless it's a DFC.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a vehicle that transforms into a shipwreck land when it dies. Not necessarily at mythic though.

Why do you despise Vehicles? I'd like to gain some insight into that.
Is it their reputation in Standard? Is it the crew mechanic? Is it the card frame? A combination of the above?
Also, you say an amazing set, but I've been seeing some complaints here about some of the other spoiled cards because they don't match up to ye olde days of Kird Ape and Wild Nacatl.
Whoever said that this could have been a creature without drew was right. Feels like a big green limited bomb.
I suppose you could argue that since these ships are more "primitive" than the Kaladesh Vehicles, they should be weaker overall, but they're obviously trying to balance the mechanic after how heavily they pushed it in Kaladesh block.
My personal dislike of vehicles starts with them being OVER-pushed. That's why we had Smuggly Wuggly and then a ban. A big part of it is Maro's philosophy of push what they like (vehicles or a particular strategy) and then don't print proper hate.
I'm a standard player. Standard was broken by this philosophy and, though it's better now, look at all the pain to get here. To a big degree limited was less fun for vehicles too because again dealing with them was harder than it should have been.
Is there artifact hate now? Yes. Sorcery removal still takes a big hit when people are playing vehicles and you see an effect on how all decks are built as a result.
Design wise... the fact that crewing gets around summoning sickness is part of the fail.
The special abilities (which we don't see so far...) push some vehicles over the top. Skysovereign, Consul Flagship is an example, sure casting cost is higher but again between uninterruptible crewing and dodging all sorcery speed removal you bend the format.Heart of Kiran comboing with any planeswalker made an entire strategy super strong. Yes, it faded due to hate overprint, but before that was crazy to deal with.
I love artifacts, I think in small doses they enhance the games greatly. Vehicles execution is why I personally hate them.
This particular ship seems balanced enough because of higher casting cost, no evasion, yet the crew cost seems a bit low.
In a set where Grasp of Darkness is being replaced with Walk the Plank it feels like previous mistakes aren't totally out of their system.
Summary? Bad feelings from bad design and implementation. We shall see what can kill this in limited at common.
Two whole power to crew this seems really odd when looking at the size. Then again that could just be me wanting a vehicle that is some huge 20/20 thing that needs like 10+ power to crew. A massive ship like this just seems like it needs a whole lot more, and be more than it is.
Why do you despise Vehicles? I'd like to gain some insight into that.

I know this was aimed at someone else, but I have to say that I'm not a fan of vehicle myself. They just seem so odd. Then again I was hoping they would start to do "Mounts" eventually, just creatures that can be equipped to other creatures, and this probably killed that idea. Vehicles themselves is a decent idea and it makes sense, in most cases, but the idea doesn't personally sit perfectly with me. Yes, that is understandably not specific and a tad bias.
The power of them at first certainly didn't help, especially when the removal was near nonexistent for them (artifacts or creatures), and how they were pushed on purpose knowing that removal couldn't handle them.
I want my legendary vehicle "Flying Dutchman", "Black Pearl" and "Queen Anne's Revenge". Some might be in the next block, but I want them.
I think you mean "Revenge", under command of the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Heh, I have never seen The Princess Bride. I'm referring to Black Beard's ship. Or maybe the less known hispaniola, from Long John Silver.

Seriously... I'll add my voice to the others, the art is beautiful but it looks like a 12/12 mythic legendary battleship of the ultimate awesome, not a 4/6 vigilance. Come on.

That's the funny thing about opinions, eh? They don't have to all be the same.
I don't like vehicles because I don't like them. I didn't ask them to be removed, even acknowledged that I understand why they're hear. Just voicing my opinion that I dislike them. My opinions about the gross frame, feeling that they're too big of bodies for how easy it is to activate them, how easy it is to cast them in any deck which highly encourages them to be drafted over most other things, or just the fact that I don't like that something that I view as boring is taking up creative space that I think could be better used, are all irrelevant. Because they exist and I'm not asking for that to change nor will my mind be changed about em. It's just my opinion that they're yucky cards
Vigilance on vehicles? For the love of Hazoret, why?

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

A DFC "Treasure map > Treasure Cove" Style Legendary Vehicle would be about the only way they could print a Vehicle I would not hate.
Vigilance on vehicles? For the love of Hazoret, why?
I don't like Vehicles at all but Vigilance on them works kinda interesting - you need to tap twice more power to attack and block with this thing which is reasonable.
Really enjoy the art on this, but got to agree with others that the ship feels bigger than just a 4/6. And that it should be Legendary considering it looks like a floating city. And that it should have some other ability besides Vigilance; the art just begs for more than what the card is. Here's hoping that any Legendary ships have just as fantastic art and better abilities.
Have to agree that it's way too small stat-wise for its size art-wise, but otherwise I actually like it. It's probably the first time I haven't hated the look of the Vehicle border (cause god it's drab and was SOOO off-putting with the bright, colorful, delicate Kaladesh aesthetic). THIS art, picking up the colors of the border and feeling more aligned with the aesthetics of the border actually looks pretty good.
I still prettymuch hate the vehicle border on every other card thus far, though.
I think the technological difference between Ixalan and Kaladesh justifies the difference in p/t size between this and some of those. It does seem underwhelming for the art though.
Making a vehicle that could easily pass as a normal creature seems pointless...
As a vehicle it has the benefit of being immune to your opponent's sorcery-speed creature removal (unless you're fool enough to crew it on an opponent's turn) as well as able to situationally avoid your own creature-wipes.

With this having vigilance you will probably be crewing this on your opponents turn, to potentially block.
I don't know if it's necessarily that underwhelming. A lot of the bigger vehicles have crew numbers of 3 or more. Crew 2 vs Crew 3 is a big deal in limited since most creatures have power 2 or less, especially below 4 mana. It also has really high toughness. You have to go up to crew 5 to find a higher ass on a vehicle. The vigilance can also be highly relevant in stalled boards since it has a low enough crew number that you will reasonably have more than one creature with enough power to crew it alone. I think this is actually a deceptively powerful card.
