Sooo...I don't really understand the hate for Rowdy Crew. I guess it comes down to how you define 'mythic.' I say that because I see the card as, potentially, a 4 drop 5/5 trampler that also draws a card when it comes into play. Is it always going to play that well? No. When it does is it epic and flashy? Nope. But I assure you, it will feel plenty 'mythic' to the guy getting pulverized by a 5/5 trampler that was above curve at 4cmc *before* it also drew a card.
I like that they are revisiting old mechanics because it always felt like whenever there was a new mechanic it was basically immediately forgotten. Now vehicles aren't just the next Splice onto Arcane.

At first glance Admiral Beckett Brass doesn't seem like a Grixis-colored legend. The art is colorful, the borders are gold; if you cover the UBR in the top-corner, you could easily see this as a Bant or Azorius character.

People calling "why don't just reprint Cavern of Souls" are insane. Blue Control is already almost unplayable (despite having great cards, which is silly if you think about it), let's make all counterspells dead cards vs tribal decks (that i think will inevitably be played after rotation). No, one thousand times no, Cavern does not belong in standard, where counterspells are that bad in the first place. Unclaimed Territory is perfect card for set like this. Good job, Wizards.

I don't believe Cavern Of Souls is ever coming back to standard. Rosewater said the card has flaws in that you have to announce which ability you are using when you tap for mana and that was confusing to players, so they consider that a fail on their part. I think that may be a little too over protective of new players, but I don't work in R&D so my opinion doesn't matter.

I agree with this completely, but it won't stop me from being salty about not being able to afford Caverns for my tribal commander decks.
Just stop with the stupid feather no feather dinosaur talk. Its asinine it terms of a fantasy GAME....its taking over a couple discussions and is ridiculous.
With Cavern,......love how following the rules and declaring your mana is a confusing fail. Seems we have no confidence in the intelligence of the players of this game.....same for those saying Banding is confusing....
It's actually a very good card in limited. At uncommon it could be fairly warping.
Don't give me that. If this card is warping then Ixalan limtied is a piece of *****. I know unblockable creatures are strong in limited but not ones that need to pay mana to make unblockable. Theres no payoff just to loot ffs.

It's a 2 mana 2/1 looter that can be unblockable in the late game. Plus it is a pirate which can be important in this block. I'm not saying it actually is too good, but wotc tends to err on the side of caution whenever they can.
So, my first pass through this thread, I missed that Tishana's Wayfinder was a Merfolk. I'm pretty interested in that now, particularly after watching a few U/G Merfolk videos a few days ago. I love the deck, but it could use some legs at times.
I feel conflicted reading about the way they change the upcoming preview week since it seems like an improvement caused by the leak. I have asked for more common and uncommon cards all throughout previews (rather than being mostly dumped at the end) and deeper exploration of a sets themes by mixing high-profile and low-profile previews for a while. But it took criminal activity to push them to take a step into that direction. :/

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Do you mean Captain Lannery Storm?
I'm 90% sure Admiral Beckett Brass is a guy, he just has long hair.
Reprint Stasis!

I'm was pretty furious that the triceratops was a 3/3 no question I mean this is bigger than a rhino and the rhino's are more powerful than this

But bare in mind he grants double strike to all attacking creatures including himself
And I'm pretty sure we are going to get more hot stuff for dinosaur tribal.

Generally speaking, I'm not happy with the dinosaur flavor. Most of it feels forced onto the set skeleton.
