I want to congratulate WoTC on finally acknowledging the leaks, instead of pretending nobody saw it happen and 'spoiling' the cards that everyone knew existed.
Seriously, good move WoTC. Thank you.
Regarding the batch of spoilers the only thing I find interesting is the new planeswalker rule. I think that is a welcome addition to the game, but I'm afraid now midrang decks will become a festival of planeswalkers on board. Imagine curving Gideon of the Trials in Ally of Zendikar? Fortunately I think BFZ will have rotated out once Ixalan hits with its new rulling.

The art looks so damn good, the themes are on point. I love the new art for the lands especially Glacial Fortress. So many cool Legends for the Merfolk Commander deck I will make.
The only sad part is Wanderwine Prophets is now impossible to obtain
There's a lot of pretty art in Ixalan which is nice.
More vehicles??? Boooooo Hssss. Doubling down on the new thing that was most broken. Sorceries are trash again? I notice crew 1. Seems they are stubbornly trying to keep vehicles around and see if they can get it right this time. Boooo. And they print Walk the Plank in the same set. SORCERY!
The plainswalker rule seems unnecessary. Jace doesn't look that great to me as a 2/2 making engine seems the long way to get there. There might be cards to combo with him, we shall see.
It's very clever to make more vehicles, besides the fact they won't drop the concept because some players whine about it anyway. The more vehicles they print, the more they'll explore what they can and can't do. Expect to get mediocre vehicles in the sets to come, in order to eventually get balanced ones from time to time.
Their leak article is very well written, and their move to show off all the leaked material in one single day is impressive. That's the kind of article that forces my respect towards the company. It's transparency, smart and ballsy all at once.

Pioneer - A bunch of stuff Modern - Humans Legacy - Grixis Phoenix / Death & Taxes
Complaining about something that's broken (lets not forget Smuggly wuggly) isn't whining. I don't happen to like vehicles, sure some people do, but my point that sorcery removal is devalued by them stands. It would have been more clever to make newly printed removal hit vehicles or at least be instant.
The leak article is well written, it's nice to see something good come from them instead of what we've had continuously for such a long time. One well written article doesn't win me over after the long standard winter.
Roast hit its value peak while BFZ-block manlands were big, despite them having the same 'they're not creatures when an opponent would be casting sorceries' problem. Declaration in Stone was still widely used even while vehicles were taking over standard in early KLD days and only started to fade in value/usage far later. Standard tends to survive sorcery-speed removal, even when the standard is one with threats not well handled by sorceries.
There is other newly printed black removal that is instant. It does, however, cost 4 mana (Hero's Downfall + lifegain + exile + 1 = Vraska's Contempt). As for cheap instant removal, Fatal Push will share a standard with whatever Ixalan brings for a year.
At last, a Grixis Pirate captain! Better yet, he has potential for multiplayer shenanigans, though other players may not want you gaining control of more and more permanents. Maybe they can design a Privateer legend down the line.
I'm also loving the Explore mechanic, it's similar to something I came up with for a Zelda set. They've got to use Explore when we return to Zendikar, it's a perfect compliment to Landfall.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Someone explain the enrage mechanic and how two sources hitting a creature with it only triggers it once.
that and why they fail to mention if damaging it yourself will trigger or not.
They didn't mention it because they probably felt they didn't need to mention it. Since the ability reads "Whenever [this creature] is dealt damage,...", nothing in that says the damage has to come from a source an opponent controls.
Anything damaging it will trigger the enrage ability. So if you really wanted you could target your own creature with a burn spell to get the enrage ability. Depending on what Enrage abilities they print that could give extra corner cases for creature only burn, like Abrade.
- The reprint of half of that dual land cycle is nice, though those were already among the cheaper land cycles (except the enemy-colored ones...of course), and I would have preferred they finish an existing cycle with enemy colors. Nice artwork, though, especially on Rootbound Crag and Sunpetal Grove.
- Vanquisher's Banner seems great for any of the C17 decks. Or any tribal deck, really, though it's a bit high on the mana cost.
- Arcane Adaptation looks like it would have a lot of combo potential. Seems hilarious with Spawnsire of Ulamog in particular.
- How the heck is Rowdy Crew mythic-worthy? If the discard weren't random, maybe it would be....
- I'm not thrilled about sirens returning, to be honest. Never liked those things.
- I thought that mechanic looked like "Enrage". People were saying that the word was "Tough", but...nope.
- Carnage Tyrant is great and I want 20 of them. That handily beats out Plated Crusher and probably Terra Stomper too.
- I like the idea behind Shapers' Sanctuary, though I wish it said "permanent" instead of "creature".
- I'm guessing this Angrath guy (who seems to be full of anger and wrath) will get a planeswalker card in RIX. Though I still have no idea who the other planeswalker is.
- Sunbird's Invocation is cool, though its mana cost is kind of painful. It also really needs to be in a deck that can ensure that it gets to do its thing. Didn't Mark Rosewater say that this effect can now be done in red?
- Gishath is potentially very powerful, though expensive to cast and very linear. Still, though, might be a nice build-around card or commander.
- Unclaimed Territory is okay in tribal decks, but I would have rather had a Cavern of Souls reprint (at rare, not mythic).
- Kind of wish Spell Swindle were a variant of Negate or Turn Aside rather than Cancel, but could be useful.
- Regisaur Alpha seems decent, though it's a pity I can't put it in my Selesnya deck (hopefully, it's not the only thing that creates 3/3 dinosaur tokens).
- Oh look, another white mythic boardwipe. Can Wizards come up with any big, flashy white cards that aren't boardwipes these days? For that matter, what the crap is with all the boardwipes lately anyway? I guess it makes sense flavorfully in Hour of Devastation, but holy mother of Ugin, that's six of the stupid things in two sets.
- Dang, they have a repeatable Traumatize now? That seems like it should cost more to cast. I don't like milling as a mechanic, but I did make one mill deck, and that would fit right in. Between it and Fraying Sanity, I wonder if they're bringing back more mill stuff?
- The transforming treasure cards seem interesting.
- Okay, the Ixalan merfolk look possibly even weirder than the Zendikar ones, but I guess they do look kind of cool. Tishana's Wayfinder is a good example.
- Why is Sleek Schooner an uncommon exactly?
- I'm kind of lukewarm on explore so far. I guess it makes sense flavorfully, but I feel like I'd have to play with it a bit.

Generally less than tcg mid.
Where are you getting that it only triggers once? It's not in the article.
The damage step is an all damage at once, if one of those creatures had first strike tho, it would trigger twice.
that and why they fail to mention if damaging it yourself will trigger or not.
This; exactly this.
Also, I really hope they print something in the uncommons like "Explore Again" - 1G, Instant - Target creature explores twice. Just because.
It was in the video

Pretty much took the words out my mouth. You even have the same feeling as I do about sunpetal grove. (The two arts are about the same quality).
