Creature - Giant Wizard
Tap an untapped Wizard you control: return target nonland permanent you don't control to its owner's hand.

I am a-ok with this cardboard. It may be a bit on the expensive side, but combine it with Deadeye Navigator in a sloggy game with that new wizard commander at the helm and you get : twin nonland Capsize. Seems ok
I mean, the card is 7 mana. Couldn't they let it bounce lands too? Come on.

Would you like to read Commander stories? Check my latest stories, coming from Lorwyn and Innistrad: Ghoulcaller Gisa and Doran, The Siege Tower! If you like my writing, ask me to write something for your commander as well!
A good target to reanimate with Bloodline Necromancer if you can discard it with looting effects. I'm very interested to see how this apparent Wizard tribal theme will play out in practice, I was very skeptical but they seem to have found an interesting niche for them.
Love the effect, but the cost is too high. Wish it had a smaller body with a lower CMC.
Based on how oppressive this ability has the potential of being, it seems likely to me that he's not expensive because he's big, but rather, he's big because he's expensive. In other words, WotC probably found they couldn't comfortably cost him less without making it too easy to get degenerate, and then figured that since they were making his cost so high anyway, they might as well give him a big body, too.
To those saying this is too expensive to cast: you can use this the turn he hits the field, he can tap himself, and if you have many wizards in play before him, you probably won the game. This will be a devastating game-ender with decks that utilize heavy wizards.
There are going to be disconnects between P/T and/or abilities and the size of creatures. Just like little cat tokens can kill 1/1 soldiers and thousands of other creatures in MTG. Not really a great way to address that unless you increase the range of P/T you are willing to give creatures and that just opens up another can of worms.

I am so glad you aren't able to design cards. Do you realize how stupid this would be if it could bounce lands? Have you played against Tidespout Tyrant? In a format where players easily and consistently ramp to 7 mana early to mid game, it doesn't matter if this is 7 mana or 20 mana. Especially when cards like Tooth and Nail, reanimate strategies and other ways to cheat out creatures exist. This would almost immediately shut the game out for everyone if it could bounce lands. Taking players out of the MULTIPLAYER game for COMMANDER isn't a good time for the GROUP. What don't you understand that this isn't Standard?
This card is quite insane. I'm questioning some of the poor evaluation here. It's repeatable, it can scale, it can answer problematic permanents in artifacts and enchantments. Not to mention walkers.

While this is true to some extent, Wizards has been throwing out lots of mediocre humans with giant p/t... it feels more like they want the legend to feel special, rather than keep flavor in mind.

maybe the man sized bug wizard makes up for it with magical ability. sometimes power/toughtness isn't based on sheer size.
as for this card, i like it. a lower casting cost would've made it oppressive. a higher one unplayable.
Selling some cards I don't want.
Generally less than tcg mid.
You can't return your own stuff to your hand with this.
Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
