I must say, the legends from the cat deck are much more exciting to me.

Would you like to read Commander stories? Check my latest stories, coming from Lorwyn and Innistrad: Ghoulcaller Gisa and Doran, The Siege Tower! If you like my writing, ask me to write something for your commander as well!
Oof, I'd forgotten that Ramos adds double WUBRG to your mana pool. I thought it was just one each. More like Ramos, Combo Engine, am I right? That is a long tail.
So both Narset and Taigam have the ability to grant Rebound to your instants and sorceries. Rivalry!
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

That's because they're both from the Ojutai clan (whose signature mechanic is rebound) in the Dragons of Tarkir timeline, and not because of rivalry.
Taigam was jealous of Narset being Ojutai's favourite student for a time though.
How does that even work? Ojutai is a dragonlord no? How can Taigam, a mere human that is much younger, be his master? If both he and Narset were disciples I would understand.

It's always cool when they bring back an old mechanic for a single card in a Commander set. I hope that Taigam isn't the only one in this set.
Planeswalkers using block mechanics are really unique and interesting as well. It's a shame that Narset is the only one so far (unless I'm forgetting one). I have a theory that the new Vraska in Ixalan has "Vraska explores, then explores again" for her first ability, and her second ability turns her into a creature a so that she can benefit from the +1/+1 counters.

Taigam's epithet doesn't mean that Taigam is Ojutai's master; it means that Taigam is a master-level warrior in the Ojutai clan.
Narset previously had that status before she was ousted from the clan, and Ojutai himself is still the top dog.

I see. Not confusing at all have the name of the clan be the same as the name of the dragonlord.

Not every dragon can be creative as Niv-Mizzet in chopping off parts of their name to name their group of followers.
Anyway, Taigam has had a card coming since Khans block, since he was a pretty prominent minor character in the story and even had a number of cards named after him. At least this card is pretty much in line with what one would expect (in my opinion), unlike O-Kagachi's card.

Yes, but Door and Legacy Weapon are fine additions as well.

The fact that Ramos only works once each turn is a huge letdown. You could build some decent-looking storm deck with him otherwise.

I may have to rip apart my Atraxa deck and remake a verison with Ramos instead.
Would a Ramos superfriends deck be viable?
Also, Gilder Bairn is a card that I never heard of; thanks for enlightening me.

Ramos Superfriends could be fun.
And you're welcome. *imagine a "tipping a top hat" emoticon here*

I play Standard, EDH, and a very tiny bit of Modern.

Ramos, if anything, because he can be a commander of the deck Taigam not, he's only 2 colors

These decks are going to be great.

Door to Nothingness?
He might be referring to cards that let you quickly turn Ramos's ability on.

I think that's the point: To prevent the Ramos player from going infinite with him (or at least make it more difficult).

This is not hard to get around in fiver colors with Ghostly Flickers and Cloudshifts and Temur Sabertooths
Abzan Charm is one of the most efficent Ramos cards.
Also Doubling Season Sage of Hours and Bioshift is a bunch of fun.
