At the beginning of combat on your turn, choose an opponent at random that Territorial Hellkite didn't attack during your last combat. Territorial Hellkite attacks that player this combat if able. If you can't choose an opponent this way, tap Territorial Hellkite.

Whenever a creature you control becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, destroy target nonland permanent that player controls. The justice of dragons demands more than just an eye for an eye.

I was definitely hoping to see Tarkiri Dragons. Territorial Hellkite is just... strange. Like a Ruhan of the Fomori variant that can only attack half the time when it's one-on-one. Flavor is kind of disconnected but if you enjoy multiplayer chaos Commander it's probably fun.
Love the Hellkite. In a Duel it basically has exert, and in a larger game it might end up faceplanting by running into something large or whatnot. The Karmic Dragon is nice, in a color pie fitting type of way. Lots of value here, well done.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
Territorial Hellkite is a mindless beater that can't even reliably deal with planeswalkers. Why do they keep printing cards like this in Commander sets (Daxos's Torment, Awaken the Sky Tyrant, etc.)? That's not what the format's about. If you want a creature that only deals combat damage, at least make it an 8/8 for four or something. Hellkite here would probably still be bad at 10/10.
The Scalelord is cute, but why it only allows to hit nonland permanents? This is an eternal format, can we at least here get some unconditional destruction?

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
Love Scalelord. Starting to regret investing so much into Karrthus EDH. I could easily convert it over to Ur-Dragon if I didn't have the deck like 80% foiled.
Now Dragons can break your stuff in addition to kicking you in the nether regions as punishment for bothering them. RW really is the payback pair, isn't it? They should make a legend built around that...
But does it hide in cardboard boxes? Does it destroy metal gear?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Wow Scalelord Reckoner is amazing for Dragon Tribal.
I'm still a firm believer that Commander Series Products are the best designed and most flavorful products out there.
Hell yeah. So far my favorite is 2016, although this one may be a close second now that O-Kagachi is confirmed. Last year was a treasure trove of old character cards though, damn was that amazing.
The Scalelord is cute, but why it only allows to hit nonland permanents? This is an eternal format, can we at least here get some unconditional destruction?
Probably because shutting down people with land destruction is one of the most unfun things that can happen in a game. Hit them twice or three times with land destruction and they have pretty much lost the game as they will be so behind the rest of the table that it can take too much time to catch up.
"stop trying to kill my stuff and I'll stop nuking your lands?"
Yeah, I wish it was any permanent. The only way I'm OK with no land destruction is if land ramp is gone from the game, which is what it is designed to combat.

2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

That is so funny. Did you read the card? If you did you know that the opponent would be choosing to run the risk of getting its lands targeted, since he/she is the one pointing the spell at the Scalelord. What's more: how that would happen two or three times? First removal spell would presumably target the Scalelord. Heh, it is as if people read it as a terastodon that doesn't leave tokens.

that scalelord is amazing, look forward to doing something with it. 6/5 for 4 is okay rather interesting as its been another commander random attacker.
I always did love Karmic Justice. The hellkite seems interesting at four, but being a random beater could just end up making it boring.

Scale Lord is a strong way to discourage your opponents from killing your dudes.
Only 4 mana if you've got the ol' Ur-Dragon sitting in your command zone.
