Path seems pretty good. color fixing tap lands are not bad in edh and even if you have only couple creature that share a type with commander it' pure upside.
I like the land a lot to support multicolor tribal commanders, or even mono-colored ones.
Kindred Discovery is a great design with both the ETB and attack triggers, that way you still get use if you tap out to play it with at least one creature that can attack.
Love the new land. Kindered Discovery will go great thematically and mechanically in my Thassa sea monster deck - also great effect - I love all the tribal support.
As sad as I am to see O-Kagachi's nerfed effect confirmed, I must say his art, now that we see it in crystal clarity, is gorgeous - even more so than I took it to be before. I just love that we finally got him on a card.
broken indeed. at some point you'd be able to draw a chain of vapor (or any other low cost bounce) and bounce kindred discovery (or locust god) anytime you wish so you could end the loop.

And you'd HAVE to if you ever wanted to attack with the insects lol. I can see this killing people who don't read cards too closely.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
And this is why Wizards hates leaks. The land and enchantment are neat but they're wouldnt have the impact that the Ur-Dragon would had many of us not seen it already.
Can I scry after spending mana produced by that land to cast my commander?
According to the article, yes.
Also, the article said "starting with Commander 2017 and moving forward, the Commander sets will be built around themes rather than color." Of course, they could always change this in the future, but I actually like that we don't have to re-tread color combos we've already done just for the sake of cycles. Hopefully they choose interesting themes and don't get too redundant.

Meh, anyone who is still interested in the card will buy the deck or the single. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. If Wizards is curious about the reaction players have to the card, they can read the original message posts and articles when the card was spoiled.
Isn't Kindred Discovery a little broken? It triggers on enter and attack, not cast and combat damage, too many ways to break it. Path of Ancestry let you scry everytime you cast your general too.

Agree. I'm not any less inspired to buy what I wanted when I first saw these leaks. O-Kagachi especially. Excitement for that will never fade even after playing him for years as my Kamigawa deck general.
Hell I'm still hype about Kynaios and Tiro, and Thrasios/Kydele.
You could say I'll buy because I'm enfranchised, but those that aren't wouldn't seek the early leaks anyway, then.
If it didn't enter in tapped, it would be a strictly better Command Tower. You have to stick that in any EDH deck just for color fixing purposes and that reach gained by Scrying.

With this Kindred enchantment and the green sorcery that might be named Kindred perhaps we are looking at a cycle of "Kindred" cards.
I do believe you can, since your commander does share a creature type with it, if it's a creature.
