Now that Edgar was confirmed, do you think we will get Shilgengar too? While not a vampire himself (or maybe he is demon vampire?), he has to have some synergy with them.

He did have a hand in creating the race on Innistrad, but I'm not sure that's enough of a reason to include him.
Who is Shilgengar?
I am trying to find my headphones to listen to the podcast but it sounds like they didnt reveal any actual cards in it. The actual spoilers are coming out next monday?

On Innistrad, Edgar Markov was originally a human alchemist. A famine swept the land, and Shilgengar (who was a demon, and possibly the creator of said famine) used that as a means of persuading Edgar to perform a ritual that used the blood of an angel to give himself and his kin (including Sorin Markov) immortality and the means to survive the famine.
That led to the creation of the vampire race on the plane.

Shilgengar is a Demon who enabled Edgar to create vampires on Innistrad. While Edgar was trying to solve a famine, Shilgengar suggested the solution would be for some to become vampires and provided the know-how. Alternative food source which also leads to less mouths to feed. Famine solved, immortality is a bonus.
I would like to see Runo as well, but surely his ocean-god-worship hints at a partially blue color identity. So not in this deck.
A part of me still thinks that they should have used the sea god as the main antagonist in SOI block, as much as I like Emrakul.
I'd like to see Runo though.
Awakening a new evil god sleeping in the seas? That's sick. I hope we get that in the Return, where Emrakul's gravitational effects had done just that.
Shilgenger as a Vampire enabler, now that's an idea I didn't consider. Yes! He could be the deck's Taigam.
I really want the 5 color dragons, as I had been building one already under Scion. Mardu vampires seems interesting, but I'll have to wait and see what's in it before I commit.
Wizards could be neat, but I already have my wizard tribal EDH deck. I have little interest in the cats, to be honest. It might be good, but I'll have to see what's in it before I get any excitement towards it. That commander is pushed, though.
I've always argued that spoilers are not a bad thing...but, I will say that they sure make this podcast entirely unnecessary and aggravating. Honestly, every time this Alison person does a podcast I can't help but feel that it provides almost zero value.
So, I'll admit that spoilers ruin whatever potential excitement this wasteful podcast could have provided and that's a bummer.
23 minutes of podcast saying absolutely nothing of value or new... they confirm Edgar as the face of the vampire deck but no story bits and nothing interesting about the product... I won't be listening to the rest of the podcasts and suggest you (gentle reader) skip this one too.

(U/B) is :symbu: or :symub: and the same is true for the other 9 hybrid symbols with their two colors in for the last 2 leters of the code. ((2/B) and co are :sym2b:)
Alternatively {UB} or {2B} in [mana] tags are (U/B) or (2/B) T is :symtap: and T will give T in [mana] tags
So... 20+ minutes of podcast just to say pretty much nothing if not retconning the famine plot-point for Edgar's transformation and making him a flat power-hungry maniac instead of a tragic figure who decided to cross the threshold of morality in order to save his people and his family... Oh and spew some information you can pretty much read on mtgsalvation wiki.
Damn, so many words for so little content and being it a podcast you have no way to reliably skip parts and only look for what is interesting.
Good job...
So... Let me guess... For dragons they will say "Ah, The Ur-Dragon, the personification of everything a dragon represents. We said that it would not get a card because it was a concept and not a creature, but f*ck it. Other dragons are common in the multiverse and pretty much every plane has a dragon and they are all different! Some of them are even artificial!".
I feel the same way. On the bright side, they're doing Wizards next week, so we'll know who the female is and her plane perhaps. I really think they should have revealed ALL cardless characters getting cards in the decks, and left their effects and art for the spoilers. Would have been more interesting than hearing everything we already know. In my mind I still think of Edgar that way.
They talked about Baron Sengir a bit on the podcast. We might see some representative of sorts of them.
Doubtful, given that it was Blake (the guy who runs the website) who brought him up and had to explain the Homelands storyline to Allison (the Creative team member). Y I K E S.

I f***ing hope it. He is such a great character to be forgotten because of the horrible set he was in.
I could only dream of a new, updated version of Baron Sengir!!! Oh man people would go nuts. Although I feel like he would have to be mono black so he couldn't be a general for this deck, just in the 99. But that's okay with me.
Yeah not the best podcast since she could only spoil that Edgar is a vampire commander, they should have waited until spoilers started to do these or just let them spoil things on the podcast.
Hopefully the next ones with cards being able to be talked about and what have influence their choices in mechanics for the card, what characters from old lore got picked, who the new characters are, etc

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Atleast previews are one week early so I'm assuming it's only going to be the main commanders and side commanders that week
And the 14th will only be all the new cards of each deck and Wednesday will be decklist day. Previews are four days long so I'm guess it will focus on each deck.
Oh by the way she may have goofed again, because by how she described Edgar markov.
I'm sensing one of his abilitys will be "indestructable"
That part near the end with the stormkirk embracing the eldrazification felt a bit tacked on tbh, I wonder if that was for a reason.
Maybe signifying an eldrazi vampire?
The Stormkirks join the sea cults, which pushes them towards blue (also note Insidious Mist). There could be some Stormkirk vampire wizard in the wizards deck, providing the same kind of off-color "overlap" as Wasitora.
And I really hope we see something better than Kheru Bloodsucker representing the vampires of Tarkir.
It looks cool though, especially when you read the flavour text and realize that that face was the face of one of its victims, and the actual "face" is underneath.

I believe the baron is on the reserved list ;(
The card, not the character. His original card it's not something I'd wanna see reprint in a Commander set, anyways.

Also, Dominaria's vampires are savage and ferocious looking? That peaked my interest since hey, we're going there next year.
