I don't suspect Avatar will be a tribe. Just that the cover cards, which will all have Eminence, will be [Deck Tribe] Avatar.
Dragon, Cat, Spirit and Human are possibilities, since the decks could share new cards. But even then, the next two could be anything, really.
At least the Amonkhet critics can have their UG Cat Legend. I am not hyped for cats, but Humans and Spirits, or Angels if they do it is of interest to me.
OK cat people enjoy but this is a huge disappointment for me, could care less for them. I was thinking of actually picking up all 4 this year but will not be grabbing this one.

That's the problem when WOTC designs these products with restrictions. Bottom=Up design to suit the deck they're in (rather than Top-Down to suit the flavor of the card), Color wheel restrictions, Tribe restrictions. Just print new Top-Down Commander cards. Make a UG Cat Legend without the entire deck needed to be that. IDK, the approach is just too polarizing. That said, sometimes we get a thing of beauty, like Kydele or Thrasios, who have design and flavor which suit them perfectly. Old characters finally getting cards with appropriate abilities and design.
And then we get Ludevic and this deck, which are restricted by needless rules. Just some constructive criticism to help them reconsider their approach. O-Kagachi's low power level genuinely bothers me - as excited as I am he is finally on a card.
How can this NOT be the "unexpected, yet somewhat popular tribe" we were hinted we were getting. This is the unexpected tribal deck. In that big C17 guesses thread, people probably only threw out Cats guesses about two dozen times or so.
This thing is clunky as all heck. A sorcery speed pump effect, coupled with another, clunkier sorcery speed pump effect. Shame on you Wizards. Shame. (Especially since it would be so easy to say that the creature gains double strike and trample UEOT.)

Probably not, especially because avatars would have to be 5-color because of 3 avatars but if we do get avatar they are the unexspected tribe and not cats. The only real excuse they are possible is because this dude and Ur-dragon are avatars.
The tribes can indeed be anything but however the theory the dragons revealed the tribes theory is looking good.
Spirits better get witch-maw or esper as the colors. (O-kagachi has 5-color handled just in case.)
Nice to see Cat tribal finally get an on-theme Commander in GW. I'm not really interested in building cat tribal myself, but I know a lot of players have been wanting it for years, moreso now with the random cat tribal support we got in Amonkhet.
I just really hope the last two decks aren't spirits and god forbid humans. We've got like a billion human tribal support cards and legendary human commanders already. Humans are the most generic, boring tribe in Magic IMO and we get them every set. And just coming off new Innistrad, I'm not ready to do the spirit thing again.
Spirits would be good. There aren't any multicolored legends that support spirits and they are an interesting and diverse tribe. I would prefer Wizards, but I would be happy with spirits.
Humans are broad enough where the deck could be taken in a lot of different directions.
Anyone care to speculate on what some other cat legend cards could look like?

Cat tribal pffff. I guess it falls udner the unexpected tribe
Nope
Cats is really popular and known in mtg fans have Ben begging for years a legendary that supports cats.
They would have had more decks in edh if a cat legendary with a lord ability was printed earlier.
And now they finally got their wish.
Its unexpected for the fact it doesn't have a proper legendary. No way its popular enough to compete with other tribes. So yes i put it into unexpected tribe for the fact it doesn't have as mutch support. This is their first WG legendary afterall.
This is true, but compare ~150 cats in existence with ~170 dragons, what is the definition of "popular". Sure, I don't here very often that folks "want to build around a cat Commander", but at the same time, Khemba, Brimaz, Ajani, and the purists for Mirri, all have some sort of following or dedicated deck. Don't forget Heliod, God of the Sun, who actually has a strong tribal synergy.
It's all about context. We'd need a third deck to really nail down if this was the "outlier" of the the bunch. Like, let's say the next deck is Elves/Angels/Demons etc., I'd be more inclined to say Cats is the unexpected tribe as it seems like the "core" creatures are basically face cards of the game. However, if it's something along the lines of Avatar/Spirit/Monk/ I'd say we are still in for a another surprise.

Popular = Regarded favorably
The number of existing cards is not at all a measure of popularity. Not even related.
Not saying Cats shouldn't have their own overlord, but Arahnbo and the deck name Feline Ferocity implies the entire deck is cat centric, and cats don't have many sub classes, i.e., the deck would permit little variety. If this is an Avatar deck, then hell, you can have avatars for any race and class, therefore a much larger pool of ideas, cats by themselves have not had enough of that.
I hope the other four legends in the deck would permit non-cat decks.
EDIT: Apparently only three legends in this deck.
You can't even use this Arahnbo with Wa*****ora or vice versa.

If there's one thing I've learned about this forum, it's that if the majority of fans love it, the majority of active members around here hate it, and if most fans find it fun, the "pros" around here dismiss it as filthy casual limited janky hot garbage. If Wizards consider Cats popular enough to warrant making a Commander precon for them, you're most likely not in the minority here. I'm happy to see it myself, so welcome to the "Unpopular Here, Popular Elsewhere Opinions" club!

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I can't say Cats were on the list of possibilities, as they were one of those tribes that just didn't have enough to fully work, but if WotC can make it work then all the better. To make this deck work they are really going to have to add things like Regal Caracal and other Amonkhet block cats.
But hey we'll probably be getting a Phantom Nishoba reprint (it's Oracle text has it being a cat), and I love the Phantoms. Possibly Jedit Ojanen of Efrava just so we can finally get the 2/2 green cat token in paper. I do expect a few Changelings here with the usual Mirror Entity and probably Changeling Colossus.

I mean people where forcing horrible mono-white cat decks with Kemba and Raksha, cats are popular and players been wanting a good cat commander. The just needed some tribe support (which I'm guessing the new cards in the deck will do).
