This is one of those cards where you just have to build around it to maximize its chances of success. Making sure it's the most expensive card in your deck, and the only 6 cmc at that, is a good start. Selective Memory is actually a good enabler for Fury, as you can simply exile the rest of your lands, and anything else you don't want to hit with Fury, from your library.
"Search your library for any number of nonland cards and exile them"
does not work the way you want it to (would just make it more likely to hit lands)
You want Mana Severance. You'd have to use both to get the effect you want.
Ah, okay. Post duly edited.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
You would think if Hazoret was strong enough to survive when the others couldn't this card would be better. I'm disappointed, this is wizards just refusing to give red good cards like the other colors. Burn now is a 3cmc Lighting Bolt.
Dangerous red card is red. No surprise there; it's just sad to me that Mark Rosewater's best excuse is just because red is hasty and risky they have to suffer the consequences of playing good red cards that don't burn, but at what benefit? It's still a six mana spell that can potentially time walk you and waste your card.
The whole "Exile, Cast cards this turn" effect blows. Even this card which is much better than most cards with these effects still suffers heavily from the classic red random do or die spells.
Seems good in edh storm/doomsday decks. Its not minds desire but it can work. It doesn't I suppose its a fun fnm card as well but the varince is too high for high level plat.

Oh, you people always find something to complain about for whatever color you think isn't currently at the tiptop of its metagame. They printed Fatal Push, now you can't complain that black has bad removal. They print a 2R Bolt and suddenly it's like red's burn is in a state of utter disaster. It's not like the game's pendulum doesn't swing in different directions over time, or that there's a bigger picture that most everyone who posts here seems to be missing.
Shoot, I like burn, and I'm not complaining. It helps that Standard has a two-card combo that essentially bolts and draws two for 1RR. Or a creature that is basically Impact Tremors for artifacts, in a Standard where we can drop copious amounts of artifact tokens.

Give this guy more credit--this is dangerously close to being 4 more copies of Mind's Desire, especially in Vintage with its Moxen.
...Except that this is red instead of blue, its Storm count is always 4, you can't cast 6+-cmc cards like Yawgmoth's Bargain with it, you have to cast all flipped spells immediately (so no banking that flipped Tendrils of Agony for later), and your lands don't untap next turn this time (but who cares? Even Mind's Desire with Storm = 4 often enabled a same-turn kill in my experience!). Not needing to technically shuffle between each flip is a plus.
But yeah, this card is surprisingly ripe for abuse. Testing is needed to see whether it can consistently flip enough gas in Modern UR Storm, but this has promise in surprisingly many decks...

Red has been powered down for a long time , like since Khans block . It should be about time for the pendulum to swing back don't you think?
Looks like a great, if nerfed, combo card. Sure there will be times when this bricks but it seems like a fair risk. Lands not untapping is irrelevant. They cant get back at you if they are dead.

In my dream, the world had suffered a terrible disaster. A black haze shut out the sun, and the darkness was alive with the moans and screams of wounded people. Suddenly, a small light glowed. A candle flickered into life, symbol of hope for millions. A single tiny candle, shining in the ugly dark. I laughed and blew it out.
Many thanks to HotP Studios. Special thanks to DNC for this great sig.
-The Scorpion God chases after Hazoret, who are followed by Samut and Djeru. The two humans leads Hazorets remaining initiates against the Scorpion God and some Eternals, finally managing to impale the Scorpion God on an obilisk and kill it. Hazoret, as the last remaining free god, promises to protect the people of Amonket and the heart of it's people.

With only one mana dork on turn 2, Chandra, Torch of Defiance on turn 3 then this card on turn 4. Like I said, Act on Impulse--put all your chips on red and let the croupier spin the wheel.
Im immensely dissapointed in what Hazorets Exert card is. I thought this is the Chance to allow Red gettin an insane Burnspell !
But instead . . . Overcosted, completely unplayable EDH-stuff or whatever or whoever is unlucky to open this. You have my compassion.
Week 2 starts as weak as i cant remember any other Set did so.
@ least i got my Rhonas last Stand as the only exciting card to me so far d:)

Mardu Vehicles.
Aetherworks Marvel.
Copy Cat.
Yeah, sure looks nerfed to me. Red consistently sees play in all of the current or former top Standard decks right now. Not to mention they really don't want to push monocolor strategies hard.
And how long before Fatal Push rotates out and then people start complaining that black doesn't have any good removal in Standard? Or maybe they'd like to lament the dismal state black discard is in right now because it doesn't have precious Thoughtseize?
Amonkhet is a grindy block. Red is not a grindy color. It's impossible for every color to always be at its best, and honestly rarely should ever be. The lower the peak is, the more breathing room there is for different cards and strategies. I imagine Ixalan with its Dinosaurs and Pirates will probably bring more red goodies to the table.

Most of us view colors in there mono playability not there splashabilty. Being a older player the game has changed in away I don't injoy.

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
Alright so everyone complaining is saying they don't want a top deck that digs four deep for a chance at something better for the situation? Why not just leverage this into something that gets more value.
It can also cascade into the other exert spells like oketra, bontu, or rhonas last _____ cards. Yeah I'll wipe your board, go up to 20, get a walker or indestructible god, and exile a land. GGD also can recast oketra's last mercy. How many decks besides RG pummeler are swinging 15+ a round this standard.
If you shoe horn this into the new midrange energy deck it'll be okay? If you build around it then it could be bonkers from time to time. I like it.
It is a bit swingy for my tastes and you're never resolving this against control...but the upside may be worth it as a one or two of for midrange decks that build with this in mind.
For other formats I think there is just more powerful stuff you could be doing. Maybe skred in modern wants this since they can fire it off turn 4 into multiple walkers or dragons to close a game out? Both koth and Chandra ramp, you have ssg main deck, and they do run a little higher curve. Also helps deck for bloodmoon if you gotta lock out a tron player. Then just clean up with the walkers. That being said this is awful vs discard decks. They'll just leave it in your hand and attack other resources.
Wizards should thank their lucky stars that rare foil sheet was leaked because I'm completed uninterested in this uninspired set. Screw Nicol Bolas and his disaster porn spells. I'm just going to tell myself to endure this set until I can get to dinosaurs, pirates, and lost cities-world.
Got to agree with others, this is actually pretty good if you cast Mana Severance first. Which makes sense. As you would want to do that as well for cards like Epic Experiment. I think its actually pretty interesting that with Hazoret's Undying Fury though that you need to tailor your deck more around it.

goblin dark-dwellers, chandra, torch of defiance, glorybringer, or hazoret the fervorent seems like a respectable curve and you have a solid chance of just nuking the board by hitting multiple sweltering suns. Heck with green you start hitting bristling hydra, arlinn kord, or rhonas the indomitable. Heck of a board state if you just hit two of these.
