Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Eternalize could've been so much better. They did not push this mechanic whatsoever. This is the Bolas set; what is this lack of power level? Paying seven for this is blah. I'd rather just flash in Torrential Gearhulk and Glimmer again.
Overwhelming Splendor is an EDH all-star. It just shuts down Atraxa and any decks all the way down. However, I would not be excited to open this at all.
agreed with the sentiments that eternalize is ridiculously over costed for what it actually is. This is on a rare too...
Overwhelming Splendor is great though, especially because it shuts down their artifacts/enchantments/non mana lands too. seems like a nice way to shut down artifact combo edh decks; my Sydri deck uses capsules and salvaging station to fight enchantments and would be in serious trouble if hit by that card.
Eternalize seems severely overcosted across the board.
Yes, I dont even know what this is honestly. These spoilers are leaving so much to be desired.
I mean, I see how three mana for a 2/1 that loots faithlessly and seven mana for a 4/4 with a tacked-on Careful Considerationcould be fine, but all these cards just don't look like they'll be able to compete with ones from the Kaladesh block in the same slots...
This is going from mercadian masques rebels to Kamigawa arcane levels of useless. Oh well...

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Was this the last unspoiled mythic? The mythics in this set just feel horrible. Bolas and the Scarab God and Locust God are good, but beyond that, very underwhelming.
OS is OP in EDH.
(8 mana is turn 3 or 4, so you can grind someone out fairly quickly. I'm sure some control builds will love this card, especially with Academy Rector floating around.)

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.

Huh? This card is awful in EDH. If it affected all opponents it would be reasonably good, but 8 mana to disrupt one opponent is pretty much unplayable even in Commander.

They want someone to make Esper Curses and screw someone over in EDH.
