The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
That art is so much better than the original, and I got a playset of the original from back when I played that standard. Jebus it has been over a decade already. Unfortunately that foiling is going to make the card bend if not properly sleeved and if the user is in a place with humidity.
Also, I'm finding it funny that Gaddock Teeg can literally stop Nicol Bolas from raining death on a city via Torment of Hailfire.
Nicol Bolas: "Your God-pharaoh has returned... I could have sworn I cast a hailfire spell just now..."

I quite like the new art, and that's not always something I say. I dislike the M15 frame but I think this art pushes it over the Lorwyn printing for me. Might just have to get one to head the ol' EDH hatebears deck.

That seems to be the direction of MtG art for a while now, I do miss the time when style differs from plane to plane.
I wonder when we will see Mikaeus, the Unhallowed reprinted again? Even his non-foil version is getting pricey. I see him getting reprinted as a judge promo though, but I won't hold my breath.

But I know gaddock good thing I was playing my elemental deck against that it diden't do much.
