Looks at tormod's crypt, looks at this. I realize this is a land, but come on guys. It's symmetrical, it's repeatable (ugh), but it exiles everything in the graveyard so effectively your idea is that I'll crack a desert each time an eternalize guy dies. In which case, why not just:
Some better Desert
Land - Desert (U) T: Add C to your mana pool.
Sacrifice a desert, T: Exile up to 3 target cards from target player's graveyard.

This is still bad, but it's far better than this.
I'm not trying to make you like these cards, but your idea isn't much better than what we have now. If I'm playing against a graveyard-abusing opponent, I want a freaking nuke, not three cards. Also, the fact that this can be tapped for mana is a huge advantage that Tormod's Crypt can't match. Actually, I question why you mention crypt at all, since it's a garbage card that sees no modern play.

That's like saying that Wrath of God is bad because it's symmetrical. Symmetry is a well established opportunity cost in M:TG and always will be. It's just on the deck builder to decide whether or not they want to build with that cost in mind. Unless you're playing Prized Amalgam/Torrential Gearhulk/Scrapheap Scrounger/Renegade Rallier/Devoted Crop-mate then there's no real cost in Standard (and even if you all of those other than Amalgam are easy enough to manage. Beyond standard, this is only one of several options. All in all the symmetry hardly seems to degrade the card significantly.
