You wouldn't be able to do this with your own planeswalker due to the planeswalker uniqueness rule, but you could copy an opponent's planeswalker. This isn't useful as it would have no loyalty counters on it (Mirage Mirror isn't entering the battlefield, it's already on the battlefield) and would be put into your graveyard as a state-based action.

This card is sweet! Can you activate it main phase to become a creature and then attack with said creature that turn? If not, this isn't very exciting. It's got some interesting tech as a mana sink to store 2 mana as 1 mana eot in the form of a land though.
Also blech EDH combos will go nuts with this card.
If you copy a creature the turn you play the mirror, it will be unable to attack due to summoning sickness, but it will be able to attack if you copy a creature the next turn.
For those who asked, this does work with Dark Depths after losing the original to the legendary rule, just like Thespian's Stage. I wouldn't expect it to see much play in Legacy, since Crop Rotation fills in as copies 5-8 already.
It's not a bad SB card in legacy, though. You can copy griselbrand, omniscience, a marit lage token or an opponent's depths. Dropping this in when they cast S&T sounds like fun.
Shoot it with the mirror the game just ends because it said when there are no counters.
You'd have to be able to activate the mirror BEFORE the beginning of your upkeep, which you cannot. The win-con ability is tied to removing a counter at the beginning of your upkeep.

Actually, that part of the ability is part of the triggered ability that triggers at the beginning of your upkeep. The game wouldn't end until your next upkeep...by which time this card would no longer be a copy of Celestial Convergence, so the game actually wouldn't end unless the real one had no counters left.

Not bad. I'm a bit worried that it doesn't say "Non-legendary, non-planeswalker" here (both would be relevant given the set), but I'm okay with this. It opens up interesting deck building space.
Listen - I'm not saying this is the best card ever, but why can't whoever designed this be in charge of making sure we get more simple and fun cards like this.
Shoot it with the mirror the game just ends because it said when there are no counters.
This doesn't work. The check for no counters occurs in the middle of the trigger and the trigger only triggers at the beginning of the upkeep. Since you can't copy Convergence in time for the trigger to occur, you will just end up with another Convergence on the battlefield for the turn.

Effect of card: Celestial Convergence enters the battlefield with seven omen counters on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove an omen counter from Celestial Convergence. If there are no omen counters on Celestial Convergence, the player with the highest life total wins the game. If two or more players are tied for highest life total, the game is a draw.
It's the moment it has no counters is when it activates. It has nothing to do with the upkeep. And I have check the card rules.

The period there just marks the end of a sentence. It doesn't change the fact that removing a counter and checking for no counters both occur during the resolution of the trigger. If they were separate, they would be separate paragraphs, not just separate sentences. See Dark Depths as an example above.

That whole second paragraph is a single triggered ability. The "if there are no counters" sentence is an extension of the "remove a counter" one. If there isn't a line break between sentences, they're all part of the same ability.

Maybe? The game winning clause is in the same line with the upkeep trigger. I don't think this works. The earliest you can activate this is during your upkeep AFTER any ATBU triggers have gone on the stack. So you would copy the convergence, it would have no countera but the beginning of your upkeep will have passed. Then it becomes the mirror on endstep.

That's all one paragraph, the end the game clause isn't a separate ability that gets checked for during the other steps and phases. That being said, you CAN make this combo work, you would just need to have multiple upkeeps first.
That is amazing with mana up. Pay two to copy, say, Invisible Stalker, go to combat and attack, then after blockers are declared, pay another 2 two become, say, Blightsteel Colossus to kill someone via infect. Tons of shenanigans here!
That likely won't work because of the lack of a "copy with this ability" clause. Once it's the Invisible Stalker, it's that until the end of the turn.
Or put Imprisoned in the Moon or Song of the Dryads on a planeswalker and use this to copy the "land" (but it copies what is printed on the card).
Enchanted Evening and Mycosynth Lattice also work.
Indeed it does. It would become a copy of Dark Depths with no ice counters on it.

Wouldn't that whole Planeswalker Uniqueness Rule make this ... a less than an optimal play?
Edit: ninja'd. And yeah, 'no Loyalty counters' is an issue, too.

I just though the moment the counters are gone it triggers.
there is a way to get at the begining of your upkeep triggers
the order is
Beginning Phase.
Untap Step.
Upkeep Step.
Draw Step.
Main Phase.
Combat Phase.
Beginning of Combat Step.
Declare Attackers Step.
i turn the mirror into Celestial Convergencee at the Untap phase then it will trigger because its turned into it before the upkeep BAAM.
Can't activate abilities or cast spells during the untap step
jsut caugth that sorry
We'll just need another upkeep phase! Paradox haze

Choose one of these judge of creation:
Make Strionic Resonator shine!
You can not grasp the true form of Ashiok's attack!
Gods bless you sir. I love Paradox Haze. I can't believe I forgot about it.
I live to serve.
