i keep re-reading this card for a downside but I don't see one. I'd pick this pretty high in limited and even consider First-Picking it if my pack was weak and I didn't want to commit to anything. I like.

Interesting, so it starts all built up with the brick counters. Then as you use it's more powerful ability (draw a card) it gets demolished/destroyed until all that is left is the rubble that can only do the weaker ability.
Nice flavour to that. Will be interesting to see what other artifacts try this and what they do.

I actually really like this card, and think it can find a place in EDH. As for Standard, it's basically "2: Create three clues. You may only activate one of these clues on each of your turns" kind of thing. Because it's colorless, it's quite good and helpful for decks that might not have great access to clues. In limited, it should be very good, but may see constructed play, at the very least EDH play. The fact you can't put any brick counters on is unfortunate, but totally understandable.

There are ways though, Quarry Hauler for one.

Proliferate is another good option. Particularly if you have Contagion Engine.

I thought this might have been Earthquake Invocation art.

Way to slow for constructed. I'd rather have three clues.

Limited its definitely great.

In commander its only decent in Atraxa and I imagine she has much more powerful things she'd like to be doing.

Budget Atraxa, Praetors' Voice players will probably want this.

This makes me think we'll see an artifact equivalent of Gemstone Mine to mirror Pyramid of the Pantheon.

Sphere of the Suns? It has been done before and I think I would welcome a functional reprint with brick counters for Peasant Cube.

This can obviously find a home in proliferate decks in EDH. Since most of those decks are Atraxa, I don't know if this is good enough to make the cut. With U, B and G in them, I feel like you're not hurting for card draw.

Wondering if it might have a home in Mono R and W EDH decks though. Specifically red decks with an artifact theme using Goblin Welder, Trash for Treasure or Daretti, Scrap Savant. Get the cards and then cash the thing in once it's no longer generating cards. 4 mana for one card, 6 for two, 8 for three. That's not great, but when it's broken down into installments of 2, that's more appealing. It's probably too clunky for tuned decks, but I could see it doing good work at a more casual table.

What I find neat about it, is even if you remove all the counters on it when trying to draw cards, it can still serve as basically a crystal ball.

I just like that even after theres no more counters on, it´s still relevant to use

Seems pretty good in unwinding clock decks. May be reasonable for bw control or paradox engin combo in standard. Definitely busted in limited.

Indeed. And if you run something like Contagion Clasp (or better, Engine), it is, at worst, a bad colorless Phyrexian Arena. Or, just, you know, sac it and then bring it back with Sun Titan.

Exactly. How many times are you going to untap four times with Jayemdae Tome in play? Plus you could in theory keep scrying even then. I mean, Jayemdae Tome is bad, but this may be a sign that they are open to making somewhat better artifact-based draw.

this is sorta like the charm cycle thing (charge counter artifacts in Scars of Mirrodin), but without the ability to add brick. *insert freakazoid BRICK!*

Love the design of that card. Also that early on (not that you want to use it too early, anyway) you get the draw effec when Scry is relatively weak (because you may still be in need of lands), but after you used it three times, you're probably well set in the lategame where scrying is a lot more powerful than it is in the beginning.

So that's why Bolas ordered the mummies to build monuments en masse.

Absolutely useless in Modern constructed.

I though the brick counter mechanics were lame, but now it makes more sense.
The card itself is not bad. It is a decent pick in limited.
