Does anyone have a close-up, sharpened image of the Jace PW? Or the native PW for that matter? There is only so much I can see by zooming in.
I think the only image that has any of the planeswalkers' text anywhere close to readable was the first one, that just caught the bottom of Jace (his ult).

The last part of that is "except that they are not legendary."
Has these kind of leaks affected WoTC financially in the past? Why would this one in particular be different?
They insist the Godbook leak is why New Phyrexia underperformed. Of course that has to ignore the fact that they lied to us about Mirrodin Pure ever being a possibility, the torrid relationship of a kor a hoody wearing dork and a bunch of birds in Standard at the time, and the global economic crisis that creeped on the foreign market less than a month after pre-release.
Corporate can never do wrong, it's the players' fault!

Yeah, people have figured that out, but I was just quoting, literally, what was visible (I was answering "What text has been seen", not "What text have people been able to deduce based on what has been seen") . The only image with legible text on that card is cut off left of the 'r'.
We are also missing the obviously-pending rules change that will make this actually work, though that too has been largely deduced. Under the rules as they exist right now, the copies would still go away because of the Planeswalker Uniqueness Rule. It just appears that rule is soon to be abolished, along with mass supertype errata to all existing planeswalkers.
It's the entire rare sheet. It is all cards that can appear in booster packs as rares or mythics. It's two each of the 53 rares, and one each of the 15 mythics. That's how rare sheets work.
The only rares and mythics in the 'set' that aren't on that sheet are the ones exclusive to the planeswalker decks.
Look, my biggest problem with people cheering at leaks like this is that they seem like they want to have a laugh at Wizards and are actually encouraging illigal stuff like this, because yes, someone took photos of all these cards on just shared it with the freaking internet. How is that okay?
It´s like if a game developer were about to release a game and then suddenly a hacker, released the game to the public while everyone was cheering because the developer could just be more careful. I mean have some compassion man.
Wizards wants to tease us with their newest sets which is why the spoiler season is there. Yes it may not seem like this leak is a big deal but think about how Wizards is feeling right now. Im sure they must be really annoyed that this happend, especially because they work so hard on each set and wants to share it with their fans.
I think it´s scary to have a mindset that´s all like "Bu-hu suckers!"
Except... its nothing like your analogy? No one is giving us free cards. And sure, it sucks from WotC's perspective. But from my perspective, I am alresdhgly thinking what cards I want to include in my Grixis Pirate deck. I dont think many people are happy that WotC got their stuff stolen; but they are happy because they are excited for the new set, and find claims that leaks hurt WotC financially are somewhat specious.
Let's say, for example, that you primarily play Standard, and that the next released set is hyped up to be all about powerful artifacts. Normally, you buy a box/case/however many packs of the new set, figure out how the new cards will impact Standard, and brew accordingly.
Now, let's say that the next set after that has a number of powerful anti-artifact spells, meant to balance Standard back out after a few months pf being heavily artifact-focused. Without a leak like this, you don't know those answers are coming down the pipe, so you happily purchase your packs of Set 1, brew your decks, and enjoy playing Standard as anticipated. When the spoilers for the next set and its answers roll around, guess it's time to rethink your brews, it's time for a natural metagame shift. That's how WotC plans things to be.
But with these leaks, though? What do you do if you know that in a few months time, when Set 2 releases, artifacts won't be as powerful, and you're going to have to play around artifact hate? Do you even spend money on the artifact-centric Set 1? Do you only buy the non-artifact singles that you know are gonna dodge the forthcoming hate cards and willingly play underpowered decks until Set 2 releases? Do you sit out a whole cycle of Standard? Those are the types of things WotC now has to worry about, because ANYTHING that might cause large groups of people to forgo buying product or going to events is going to negatively affect them financially and logistically.
Right now, they'd better hope to hell that HOU is a home run, because people are focusing more on Ixalan already as it is. If we get more and more leaks from Ixalan pulling attention away from HOU, or if something gets leaked that negatively impacts the way people are investing in HOU or its related Standard format, then HOU is going to be a resounding thud and their problems wind up compounded.
And what happens if you were on the fence with a deck archetype, and the next set shows that it supports it further so you buy in now? That argument goes both ways.
Just because a company don´t lose money over a leak doesn´t mean it´s okay just to leak everything, especially if it´s illigal to do so. It´s still about respecting companies product and understanding the work and thought put into the products.

I don't mean to say that there aren't some positives of knowing what's coming down the pipe later, and you do have a valid point. I was only giving that example to show that it CAN in fact be very detrimental to WotC financially, even if the players themselves still benefit from having more information.
Just because a company don´t lose money over a leak doesn´t mean it´s okay just to leak everything, especially if it´s illigal to do so. It´s still about respecting companies product and understanding the work and thought put into the products.
Yeah, and I am not saying any of that is false. The leaker should be punished to the full extent of the law. But that wont restrain me. This isnt someone's private photos, nor is this hurting national security. The reason people are excited to see these cards is because they think WotC has a good product and they want to see it. That isnt the worst problem a company could have.

Except it diminishes the excitement their customers have regarding intervening products, thus leading directly to reduced sales and a loss of revenue. Revenue that is necessary for WotC to continue producing said products.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).

I'm hype for a Gatewatch asskicking.
I'm hype for Piratesaur land.
The excitement of product with or without third party spoilers/leaks is completely dependent on the player.
I've seen sets spoiled and leaked to early for 22 years and it hasn't cause my excitement to waver. My Excitement wavers when companies do stupid crap. Like wait 12 years for a sequel (good job Blizzard) or 3 months of Sombra teasers (good job.... oh dang!)
This makes WotC look dumb more than anything. We are going to keep buying and playing, they are going to keep printing.
Just got a look at the new cards. The set looks amazing. Fun to brew, fun to draft, fun to play at FNM again. I'll definitely be buying a box. DINOSAURS and PIRATES people.
It's like the guy who leaked these was thinking, "take what ya' can, give nothin' back!"
I really wish the whole set dropped in high quality scans. That's what I wish. Aside from story spoilers, I see no reason why any of this ruins anything. Only the most enfranchised players even actively seek out these leaks on forums like this or Reddit etc. Heck, most people weren't even aware of the story until it was plastered on the cards. Many didn't even know Emrakul was on Innistrad until EMN was out for weeks. Meanwhile, the rest of us who look at things like Magic Story and leaks had concluded all that before SOI was released.
Give me a break. Seeing things early isn't going to stop anyone from wanting wanting what they want. In Yugioh they see sets 4 months before they're released officially, and as much as 6 months before if Japanese leaks are followed. It builds hype to see the cards early if anything.
PLZ HIGH RESOLUTION JACE SOMEONE. Sharpen and zoom on it come onnnnnn I must seeeeee don't keep a Blue Mage waiting for answers and information. Or so help me Blue Sun's Zenith is getting cast
To play "Devil's Advocate" may I ask what is it you do for a living? I'm not looking for your exact job, just a line of work and you can be general. I'm not trying to pry, I'm just trying to relate your position to Wizards position, please don't take offense. If you don't want to share, no problem.
But... Product is money. Future product is future money. The sole existence of a business is to make money. Anything that impacts that is important. Leaks intentional or unintentional have consequences. Theft is theft. I HATE thieves. Then again I am viewing "stolen" property. It could be considered wrong by some and probably is. But my transgression is far less that the original theft. I'm with you, I like the info, don't get me wrong. But it does have ramifications.
I'm not in business if that's what you're asking. I stated that opinion as a player. And as someone who doesn't believe this was theft. I actually suspect WOTC leaked this in the same vein as YGO leaks as a way to suggest "hey, look how great future standard will be" or to attempt a new model. It's obvious this "leaked" during Announcement Week, and that all the delays to arrive at it in June, and have it be a week rather than a day, is all news that WOTC is trying new things with reveals.
I need to see evidence that there are negative ramifications before I consider compassion, because as I see it, this is irrelevant.
So I will continue with my original question. Again you can refrain from answering if you wish. What is your current type of employment, you can be very general. For instance I myself am in the public sector in a service based position. I ask because theft IS relevant and will ALWAYS be relevant. I'd like to be able to relate an analogy to your position, if you have one that may be able to help you better understand Wizards stance. I'm not asking you to take Wizards stance, just see their position. That's all. Opinions are fine to have but facts and relative information can always help. Again, if you think it may be too personal, just politely decline and I'll drop our conversation.

When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

Jury's still reeeeealy out on 'Fun to draft'. This is just the rare sheet. Literally, only 1/14th of the cards in any given draft will be cards from this sheet. Draft fun is primarily a function of commons and uncommons, of which we have seen zero so far.
This is theft IF it was stolen from a printing press. If this was not stolen from any press but simply a picture of a sheet that was either at the work station or being evaluated for defects than this is legal. There is nothing illegal about taking a photo of something in America, only how you took the photo or what you plan to do with said photo.
For example taking photos in an art gallery, cinema or museum are usually prohibited but not illegal. They can't take you to court for taking photos but they can ask you to leave. If you don't then they can take you to court for trespass. However they can take you to court without asking you to leave if you intend to sell said photo.
Btw if anyone brings up movie laws, those are an entirely different animal which is handled by a very different system.
So in conclusion as long as this image poster did not steal the sheet from the printing press or attempt to sell the image, this is 100% legal.
And again all he has done is give the consumer (You and Me) a better understanding of the product that we may choose to invest in if we choose to. If we decide (like me) that the rares look piss awful, then choose not to invest in Ixalan, that is not the fault of the image poster but the R&D team who worked on the product. A good example would be car commercials, back when I was a kid a car commercial was filled with facts about the car, it's features, it's numbers but now they are just music videos with cars doing unbelievable things. Now it is harder to invest in a car because the only numbers you have to use are either online or in the broacher you have to read. I would much rather prefer to see an entire "God Book" a month before release to decided how many booster boxes I want to buy. No one was happy with Born of the Gamble when it came out and many people lost money, same with Dark Ascension. Buying magic shouldn't be a gamble but something to invest in to have fun. I don't think the average consumer likes buying the randomness of magic sets. Boosterboxs are already random enough we don't need to gamble on whether the set will be good or bad too.
Again, to play Devil's Advocate.
If I took pictures of your tax forms, driver's license, social security cards, credit cards, banking forms and information and posted them up on the internet for all to see it is 100% legal and above the board as long as I am not compensated.
May I come over to your house tonight?

Anyone who had access to unreleased cards surely had to sign a nondisclosure agreement. Posting these images violates the agreement and allows Wizards to pursue the individual for whatever compensation they deem fit.

Taking the picture is legal. Distributing them is a possible copyright violation. Copy right infringement is generally only a civil issue (not criminal). The big issue the one picture shows the foil sheet on what appears to be a laminate wood floor. So not exactly the concrete floors of print shop. Unless wizards has floors like that in one of their buildings and this was the Janitor or something. Odds are it was stolen, and if it was it could be sabotage and/or theft depending on jurisdiction.

You make that statement like it's fact. That 'fact' was spoonfed to you when WotC went boo-hooing about the godbook leak. Then they went and claimed in hindsight it hurt the sales...of NPH...the set that had free mana, Praetors, the final Sword, modern staples out the yin-yang. You'll have to forgive me if I'm not taking their word for it. The set is good, it sells. It isn't, it doesn't. It really is that simple. You can make up these disaster scenarios where the early knowledge somehow affects buying decisions, but as it was stated, that goes both ways. I've never even understood the concept of waiting unti 2 weeks before a set comes out to spoil it. I can't think of a single comparison to any product in the real world that holds to such a bizarre tenet, and I can't logically conceive of any way that it is superior.
I mean, I saw the leak yesterday. Cool pirate. New Pithing Needle. I want these products. I better get Ixalan when it comes out. Poof. I just made a buying decision 3 months out same as I would have 2 weeks before. Cards are strong, and I want them. This frothing at the mouth buying hysteria that happens at prerelease is exactly what happens we're not given proper time to analyze the cards. Then you're stuck sitting on a card that SCG jacked to $30.00 based on hype crashing two weeks later to $8 and the sleeper is out of reach.
Sure, prosecute the leaks if a crime was committed, but I don't feel a lick bad about viewing spoils because I whole-heartedly think their spoiler policy is stupid and the 'hype' they covet so much harms the players with artificial, untested, unrealistic pricing on the secondary market.

You can take the pictures of those items. However, if you use the information for something criminal. Posting them online has the potential to make you accessory to whatever criminal act occured with that information. However, that depends on how you posted them online. If it was accident like you upload your entire picture folder because you don't know how to use your computer. You might have a defense. If you posted online and "said, I hope you enjoy free money" or just posting them could be determined to have malicious intent. Making you an accessory to whatever crime occurred.

67 cards out of rares and MR
Some people are starting to decipher what at least 40% of the cards do. Vraska is 3BG and an unnamed walker is RW.
Wow after reading those I'm surprised there aren't more leaks.

Its also, always, blamed on the players.
I don't mean to say that there aren't some positives of knowing what's coming down the pipe later, and you do have a valid point. I was only giving that example to show that it CAN in fact be very detrimental to WotC financially, even if the players themselves still benefit from having more information.
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
Except it diminishes the excitement their customers have regarding intervening products, thus leading directly to reduced sales and a loss of revenue. Revenue that is necessary for WotC to continue producing said products.

Now where are my Dominaria leaks?

It's like the guy who leaked these was thinking, "take what ya' can, give nothin' back!"

Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Source for this assertion?
Jury's still reeeeealy out on 'Fun to draft'. This is just the rare sheet. Literally, only 1/14th of the cards in any given draft will be cards from this sheet. Draft fun is primarily a function of commons and uncommons, of which we have seen zero so far.
