Honestly I agree with the poster from earlier who said this has kinda ruined Ixalan - it's too much, too soon, while we haven't seen HOU yet and we've already seen a bunch of rares (the generally important cards).

Unless Patriarch's Bidding and Mana Echoes receive reprints in Commander 2017, expect to see them shoot up in price when Ixalan is released since "creature types matter" is now a thing again with Commanders such as Karona, False God gaining more popularity especially with Arcane Adaptation for giving your creatures +3/+3 while swinging.

I think he meant update the legend rule to include walkers so that they can have abilities that interact with their own one-at-a-time rule without needing a huge update

Latest proof this forum is a trashfire:
Your authoritarianism will be the reason the company suffers another 60M in losses.
i'm curious about the hostage taker situation. i would assume wizards is going to change the rules for the banisher priest effects? change the order in which the effect exiles the card and checks for hostage taker being in play? - therefore exiling itself would make it never return. otherwise there would really be no reason why they would exclude the word "another"...there is certainly space on the card for it.
if this leak ends up being fake it is either created by people with insider knowledge of the set or simply the most amazing hoax of all time.
With so many leaks i´m pretty sure Wizard didn´t just go "Hey! Lets leak all these cards on purpose." I´m in the camp of thinking that this is just too bad seeing how far away this set is to release stil.
So does the fact that Hostage Taker goes infinite with itself and draws the game if there aren't any other artifacts or creatures on the field mean these are fake? Or are they changing the rules about the until-x-leaves-the-battlefield effects?
We've been talking about that on the cube thread. It's certainly troubling, but the idea that these are fake would recquire a lot of explaination. It's an actual sheet of actually foil cards with orignal art. Not only that, it features concepts like feathered dinosaurs and pirates that were only just revealed to the public. Even if someone was crazy enough and talented enough to fake this, they wouldn't have had the time unless they had insider knowledge. The most likely explanation is a rules change, but it's certainly an oddity.
It could be a typo/misprint. It happens sometimes.
I hope there is enough support for a casual dino deck(think werewolves/infect/vehicles). Just hope for more than a few fatties and mediocre commons. Seeing a rex, triceratops, and a raptor has me giddy. I hope there are more crowd favorites thrown in there (Pteranodon, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Also need a 3 cmc spell that summons a swarm of 3 raptors or compys). Also has anyone noticed an eerie trend of similarities between magic and hearthstone releases? Tarkir=Blackrock, Eldrazi=Old gods, Ixilan=Un'goro?

My favorite flavor text: Time of Heroes
Feel free to tell me yours!
Jace looks like he’s halfway shirtless and dressed as a pirate on a boat. Makes sense. Mana cost is either 1UU or 2UU (no way it’s more than that, given that he starts with only 3 loyalty). As others have said, the type line probably says “Legendary Planeswalker – Jace” and the ultimate says “create two tokens that are copies of Jace, except they’re not legendary”, meaning that the planeswalker uniqueness rule would be gone and every planeswalker would get errata to make them legendary, so that the legend rule applies to them instead. That actually makes a lot sense. It’s much simpler to explain if both creatures and planeswalkers have the same uniqueness rule, and it’s certainly the most elegant way to make the “Illusionist Jace” planeswalker that is long overdue. I’m sure there’s other design space it opens up, too.
To the right of Jace there’s a nonlegendary red creature with one big block of text (and then some flavor text). The type line makes it look like it’s a pirate, but not a human. The first subtype is too long. It definitely isn’t an orc, either.
To the left of Jace is a vehicle. The first line of text is short but unreadable, likely one to two evergreen keywords. Then there’s ability that’s three lines of text, and what looks like crew 1 (although it could be crew 2) with reminder text. The stats look like 3/2 but it’s difficult to know for sure. I have no clue what the art is.
To the left of that vehicle is a white noncreature spell with separate multiple lines of text (probably an enchantment). But, more interestingly, below the vehicle is another vehicle. The art clearly shows a ship with green fog around it. There’s three lines of text that look like they start with “whenever”, followed by what looks like crew 3 (its and reminder text). The toughness looks like 2, but the power is unreadable.
To the left of the lower vehicle is a blue noncreature spell. Two lines of rules text, two lines of flavor text. The art looks like something flying (probably a siren) just above (or out of, or into) the ocean. To the left of that is a mostly cut-off black creature with two lines of rules text and three lines of flavor text.
To the left of the black fact or fiction-style reanimation spell (which is to the left of the spyglass) there’s a blue story spotlight card. It looks like a sorcery for 3UU but I’m not completely sure, and I’m pretty sure that it’s some kind of mass bounce spell. There’s only two lines of rules text, but three lines of flavor text below it. The art has a ship, possibly being engulfed by a kraken. Since this is a story spotlight card, I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone’s (least) favorite castaway is on the ship.
Below that there’s a mono-green creature. As with the blue card next to it, there’s one big block of text. The art looks like a human pirate, and the type line has the perfect length for it. That means pirate in UBRG. I’m guessing that both pirates and dinosaurs will show up in 4-5 colors, but only get tribal support in certain colors.
Dinosaur tribal will almost certainly be RG. (The RG dinosaur is probably “(other) dinosaurs you control have haste” and “whenever a(nother) dinosaur ETBs under your control, [effect]”). Pirate tribal will likely be either UB or UR. (The siren pirate already confirms pirate tribal in blue, B or R could both work as the other color. It would be nice if it was UR because it’s a color pair with virtually zero tribal support, while UB has both zombies and faeries.)
To the right of that is a wordy blue noncreature spell that costs some amount of generic mana (3?) + UU. The art looks like a humanoid standing on a rock in the ocean with a sunset in the background. To the right of that is another copy of the double striking white dinosaur people have already identified (there are two copies of it on this rare sheet).
Most of the cards to the right of the white dino for the next few rows are fairly readable and have already been identified many times over, so I won’t be analyzing those. Remember the blue noncreature spell between the green pirate and white dino? Right below that is a blue card. The name is long, but the type line is not. The art clearly shows a merfolk. The text box is unreadable. Presumably a rare blue merfolk creature, perhaps a tribal lord, perhaps not.
To the right of that is a 4/5 dinosaur creature for either 2GG or 3GG. The text looks like “Tough(?) – Whenever this creature is dealt damage, draw a card.” So there’s a mechanic that triggers off of creatures taking damage of any kind, not just combat damage. That seems quite easy to abuse. This card itself looks very strong at 2GG, but still pretty good at 3GG. There’s no color pie reason why this mechanic couldn’t appear in any color (they can just make the triggered ability match the color), but I assume that it will be a “dinosaur mechanic” (just as treasure tokens, vehicles, and raid will be “pirate mechanics”) so it might just be in RG or perhaps one other color.
Below that is a green one-drop that mostly cut off. To the right of the green one-drop is a 1/1 black one-drop creature. The name looks like “Deadeye Docker”, but the art shows a humanoid figure in the jungle, which wouldn’t really match the name. The type line looks like “Creature – Human Pirate”, which could work in the reminder text. You can see two lines of rules text plus four lines of reminder text, which is quite a lot. I’m guessing that this guy uses that scry-esque +1/+1 counter keyword action that people identified on that one green creature.
To the right of that is “Rowdy Crew”, a red mythic creature that has already been fully identified by others, but below that is another red mythic. I think the name is “Star of Extinction” and the cost is 3RR. Presumably some kind of epic board wipe.
To the right of that is a Drowned Catacomb reprint with art showing what looks like a Drownyard from Innistrad (I guess they’re using a very loose definition “catacombs”). Below Drowned Catacomb is a spell that costs XWW. The title ends with “ent”, which isn’t particularly helpful.
To the right of the white X spell is Regisaur Alpha, a 4/4 dinosaur creature for 3RG. It says “~ you control have haste” and “~ enters the battlefield ~”, so probably “(other) dinosaurs you control have haste” and “whenever a(nother) dinosaur enters the battlefield under your control, [effect].”
To the right of Regisaur Alpha is the other copy of the white double strike dinosaur. But below that is a blue card named Spell Swindle, which presumably either counters or takes control of a spell. To the right of the white dinosaur is a green creature named Old-Growth Dryads. The text starts with “Wh”, so probably either “when” or “whenever”. The second line continues the first and starts with a lowercase “b”, so perhaps the triggered ability causes it to become something else. So the text would read “When(ever) [something], Old-Growth Dryads (or maybe a forest or land you control instead) becomes [something] (until end of turn).
Above that is Emperor’s Vanguard, a 4/3 creature costing a green mana and some amount of generic mana. It says “Whenever Emperor’s Vanguard deals combat damage to a player, [unreadable new keyword action].” The reminder text says something like “Reveal the top card of your library. Put that card into your hand if [something I can’t read]. Otherwise, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature then put the revealed card back on top or into your graveyard.” This is the mechanic I think that black one-drop creature has also. It’s really interesting because it’s a keyword action, but it can only be used in the abilities of creatures (otherwise the +1/+1 counter thing wouldn’t work). Well, I suppose it also go on noncreature permanents that can turn into creatures. Vehicles, anyone? (Seriously, I fully expect a vehicle with this ability somewhere in the set). The ability itself is kind of like a combination of graveyard scry (Sultai Ascendancy, Taigam’s Scheming, Contingency Plan, etc.), Kinship, and the slith (and Innistradi vampire) ability (only when it’s a combat damage trigger, which it is on this card but it might not always be). It’s weird and complex but it could be really interesting. This mechanic definitely in green, probably in black unless I’m completely off on that black one-drop creature, and probably in blue as well because the whole graveyard scry thing has mainly belonged to blue historically.
Also of note: Vraska’s Contempt (I think that’s what it says) have flavor text that I can’t fully read, it definitely says “Night and Day” in it. The weird part is that “Night” and “Day” are capitalized. That seems important. Combine that with the “Sun Empire” mentioned in the flavor text of the GW checkland, and it seems likely that there’s some sort of night vs. day motif going on. But didn’t they already do that in Lorwyn?
And that’s all I’ve got for now, if you somehow managed to read all of that.
I also noticed this about the similarities between Hearthstone and Magic. I'm interested if there's some kind of inside marketing idea in there or if it's just chance.
I'm also hoping for a strong casual dinosaur deck. The ones we've seen so far seem pretty decent, all I ask for is some good ones at lower costs or a decent way to ramp into them. Another cool card would be some type of Stampeding Dinosaur that deals damage, and some raptors that swarm. Oh yeah and don't forget about a legendary dinosaur!
With so many leaks i´m pretty sure Wizard didn´t just go "Hey! Lets leak all these cards on purpose." I´m in the camp of thinking that this is just too bad seeing how far away this set is to release stil.
Wizards of the Coast simply aren't working hard enough to prevent leaks from happening. Is it THAT hard to stop someone from snapping a photo of unreleased product on their smartphone before it goes viral so that other people don't get in trouble for sharing this info online and on social media outlets? As a MTG player am I in trouble by Wizards of the Coast for discussing unreleased cards that have already been leaked online such as with Commander 2017? Unless I was the first one who leaked the info online then it would be a problem but judging from the way I see it in my situation it's not.
Not only does leaking do damage to the speculators market for getting cards in decks that could receive future support only to jump up in price too soon but it also makes Wizards of the Coast look bad for not having the type of cyber security protocols to prevent stuff like this from happening. I understand that a lot of people get excited when new cards get released officially or unofficially but it doesn't help when these leakers do this sort of thing only for the sake of getting conversations started when they know what they're doing is wrong or perhaps they're doing this just out of sheer boredom because they probably don't have anything better to do.

Pretty sure it just proves the opposite, that the leak was unwanted. Jace's defeat is the first official spoiler for Hour. It was clearly chosen to get people talking whats going to happen to jace? What's going to happen to the others? If they really felt people would say 'if jace is dead I'm not buying cards anymore', then why preview the card at all. Leave it in the Friday full set release.
I can come up with a dozen reasons why this leak is from outside wizards, this is one of them
Tough is an interesting mechanic. It looks like Samut, the tested may be a plant for the RG Dinosaur deck with the tough mechanic. Ping two creatures with forked bolt and draw two cards or give a big fat dinosaur double strike. Maybe she will be decent in standard after all.

and a lot of them don't look great tbh
They will, this has been confirmed by multiple sources at WotC, including MaRo.
