MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Man, this just reminds me how much I hate the timeline change. Shu Yun, arguably the coolest of the five Khans, doesn't even seem to exist, and he is replaced by someone who was a traitor in the original timeline. Life ain't fair.
He is in his Ojutai guise, not his Jeskai (or even Sultai, didn't he turn his coat in the original timeline?). There was no red in the Ojutai gang, so there's no red in Ojutaigam. (Get it?)
He also later joined Sultai in the original timeline, guess red just isn't his thing.
It isn't fair to say ALL tribal decks are linear, zombies have quite a few different ways to build with a number of ideas and strategies depending on the variety of zombie commanders to choose from. You can choose "the best" out of any build of tribal, but that doesn't mean you have to. The less cards there is of that tribe, then there will be more of the same decks. If I want to play Thallids for example, there really isn't many Thallids to choose from so there will be the same Thallid Thelod of Havenwood deck as everyone else. I guess it is limited on your imagination of course.

I hope this isn't legit, because why would there be a Dragon commander that isn't red? There is what, like 10 dragons total in white and blue colors? As a non dragon tribal commander, doesn't seem terribly interesting since it lends itself to generic spellslinger infinites. Not my jam, hope there is a good zombie one though.
He is not meant to be a dragon commander but a card that can go into a dragon tribal deck. He fits with cards like Dragonlord's Prerogative from Dragon of Tarkir, who are very clearly better in a dragon deck but can be used outside of it. Honesty which makes me love his design since this is something that could have been in Dragons of Tarkir.
They finally print a Tiagam, but he's not monoblue. *folds arms and pouts*
He was never meant to be mono-blue or a part of the former khans cycle.

Shu Yun was the Khan of the Jeskai over 1,000 years ago, during Fate Reforged. Narset was the Khan of the Jeskai in the KTK timeline, the same timeline and era in which Taigam was a traitor. Taigam replaced no one, certainly not Shu Yun.
Interesting, I think it's a fun little card. I hope they also do a Khans version of Taigam also.
It's hard to say if they still want to acknowledge the now-nonexistant timeline, but if they did make Sul-Taigam (I just realized his name compounds perfectly with both Ojutai and Sultai), I'm guessing he would be UB and work with Delve somehow? He would probably have it himself actually. And maybe he'd let you cast nonland cards that were exiled with his delve ability?

Glad that people who actually liked this stick in the mud got their card finally. Seriously, though, dude was insufferable in the Dragons storyline. Basically the Magic equivalent of that tattletale kid from Recess with the notepad.
Oh yeah, card's super good and that dragon part feels really tacked on.

Everybody is so focussed on the Dragon part, but I think he would make a real good generic U/W commander. you could use the good U/W dragons as finishers for flavor, but I also like that my Swords to Plowshares, Fact of Fiction etc. get rebound. This guy is could be the card advantage tool U/W needs to make a good permission deck in commander.

I am wondering the same. There is no shell that can currently use him. But rebound is powerfull. All of the decks already run spells that are good with him.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
If we're diggin' real deep Clockwork Dragon is in the playable margin and is a solid mana sink if you need it (and in a deck running lots of instants, a mana sink is always welcome). I think that's all the dragons that matter in colors now, though I suppose I can't be trusted in that regard.
Still, I very much like the idea of a counter-resistant dragon deck backed by some serious spell power, even if the popular option will just be spell slinging.

I drew up a list for him an he seems fun. Rebounding Fact or Fiction, Dig Through Time, Treasure Cruise or removal spells can be pretty powerful, but you need to find a way to attack with him safely before "going off".
People were talking about getting infinite turns with him, but I haven't actually found a way to do that yet. The best thing I was able to pull off so far was casting and rebounding Time Warp, then getting it back with Archaeomancer once it hit the graveyard and taking two more turns. 5 consecutive turns is a lot, but it's not infinite turns. Although I suppose you could easily kill about two players in that time if you went the Voltron route and suited Taigam up with some swords.

I mean, any blink or bounce ability lets you go infinite with Archaeomancer and time warp, although that doesn't need Taigam.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
