I think I may be going: $600 is a lot but I'd get my money's worth between the Magic and Transformers events.
MtG crossover cards, nice! What actually awesome brands are under Hasbro?
It's unclear if this means the brands Hasbro makes toys for or just "Hasbro originals", but My Little Pony, GI Joe, and Transformers all fall in the latter category, which could make for some funny promo cards. Maybe even a D&D crossover card? Drizzt Do'Urden commander?

I believe WOTC swore off exclusive unique promos after Nalathni Dragon. Unless something's changed, I'd expect alt-art cards instead of completely unique promos. Maybe Optimus Prime as Walking Ballista or Spike from MLP as Dragon Whelp.

I want to go. But that price. And I don't live on that coast anymore. And wow, that price. Did we mention the price?

You know how networks will sometimes do crossover episodes between popular shows? And you're thinking this is going be cool crossover episdes. Then character A will meet character B for the first time in show A? The you watch show B where character A meets character B for the first time... again.... and you're like... what the heck? They already met! The writers at both shows do absolutely nothing at all to fold either show into the other other than... well... just the character.
This feels kind of like that....

The silver-bordered fan-pandering My Little Pony-themed Magic card is going to be cringe-tastic, all rainbows and special pink heart mana symbols. I don't like it when they cheapen the game like that. But this is nothing new, remember the Jace «coin»?

Calling it "a straight up official My Little Pony Magic Card" is a bit of a stretch when we are talking about silver bordered promos imo. These don't affect 'real' Magic at all and are purely collectors items, so no reason to be upset.
Putting a 600$ pricetag on a special ticket that is aimed at some of their most loyal customers seems unreasonably greedy though...

I can kind of see where they're coming from with the price, but it's still painful.
165 - 3-day ticket normal price
120 - 2 entries at full price to Iconic masters release events
24 - 6 booster packs at MSRP (in goodie bag)
So that leaves us with a total of $291 for 3 promos and "VIP perks" (guaranteed seats at panels, free cake at the anniversary party, autograph session with Maro, etc)
Depending on how rare and in-demand these promos end up being, it might not be an awful deal, but that's still some serious sticker shock.

Well, fortunately since they will be non-legal cards and very limited supply, you don't have to want them! Great how that works. I, for one, will wait to see what the cards actually are before I pass judgment.
Edit - It's kind of hilarious how worked up people are getting about this. Don't you have more important things to worry about than a non-legal, silver-bordered card you'll probably never even see in person, much less have to play with? "This cheapens Magic as a whole!" Oh please.

Your edit is hilarious. Don't you have more important things to worry about other than the opinion of some random strangers on the internet?
Like I said, I'll give the cards a chance but the whole thing is just bizarre. Like we're seeing the first days when Monopoly spin offs hit the market for the first time. Except these cards are just a litmus test to see the community reaction. Positive and these cards appear on TCG or ehatever for $60 a pop, then Hasbro sees dollar signs. Upcomingt set, "My Little Magic" block set on the Equestria plane because all those Bronies are just drooling for that I.P. Now we get to see Fluttershy as a PW.
I'm not specifically against any of the IP owned by Hasbro. I trip over Rainbow Dash plushies and stub my toe on Bumblebee parts all the time. What I'm holding my reserve on is the whole "mash up" between MtG and whatever mystery IP they chose. At $600, this sounds waaaay too much like a litmus test for a cash grab. That is a direction I do not wish to see Magic go.

Putting a 600$ pricetag on a special ticket that is aimed at some of their most loyal customers seems unreasonably greedy though...
W(W/U)U Ephara - Flash & Taxes W(W/U)U || B(B/G)G Meren - Circle of Life B(B/G)G
RGW Marath - Ever shifting Wilds RGW || (U/R)C(W/B) Breya - Artificial Dominion (U/R)C(W/B)
UBR Becket Brass - take what you can, give nothing back UBR
That or the Monopoly man. I would gladly pay for a card that was called "Go to Jail, Go Directly to Jail".
Standard - RIP Cat
Modern - Death & Taxes
Commander - Mazirek, Trostani, Angry Omnath
