I've been preparing for that one. I just got the last deck I needed off of walmarts site for C16, which was the Entropic Uprising deck. You can actually get it from them for about 35 usd right now while everyone else is spiking the price to 60+ usd per box on ebay. Next step is to see where the price trajectory goes on the anthologies. Right now it looks like everyone is planning on arbitrage on those things and selling the Kalia deck for insane amounts.
I wish I could do that. Walmart in Canada stopped carrying almost all MTG products outside of overpriced booster packs with way too much packaging, Planeswalker decks, and deckbuilders toolkits sometime between 2014 and now. They aren't even on the website. It is truly a useless store to me now.
It happened in commander 2014 we got mono green elf tribal they are not going to do it again.
Let it go (same goes to everybody else who still thinks it's possible)
Dude I happen to agree with you but you're being incredibly obnoxious about it. This and the Eldrazi thing, to a lesser extent. I think you're probably right about Elves and wrong about Eldrazi but you frankly don't know either for a fact and you keep posting as if you're a Wizards insider. It's getting old.
Seems like a lot of these ideas are stemming from the Kamigawa block lol, I thought wizards didn't want to go back there :}
They largely say those things in relation to new main sets and not so much casual products. Commander is one of the few places kamigawa reprints are possible outside of a masters set. I wouldn't mind more time spiral love and barbarian love, but I think the latest duel deck got that covered for parts on those fronts.

For peak sake guys I just snapped I'm still hearing elfs is possible no matter how many times me including quite a few people are saying the 2014 commander and anthology It's just getting tired like your guys forbid to listen to us I know opinions will never being taken away.
And as for Eldrazi they are only possible for the unexspected and also at first I diden't believe a quite a few people talked to me and they all gave me convincing cases they have more love in edh than lore/standard/modern and I heard from someone here wizards is considering a colorless pre-constructed commander deck this fits the bill because it a not color focused.
But another truth if the fail to make it I wouldn't be surprised.
Which is why my predictions are these.
If all 5 color
dragon (almost locked)
Sliver
Devoid Eldrazi or angel
Spirit or humans
If not all are 5-color
Dragon (same as above)
Zombie or demons
Angel or esper merfolk or goblin
Unexspected: colorless/5-color devoid Eldrazi or hydra or bird or spirit
So with this said please no more telling me I'm obnoxious I hate hate hate being rude I felt guilty just doing that huge words in the post.
Technically speaking, I'm surprised it was elves and not eldrazi that drove someone over the edge. If they go a more traditional race kind of tribal I'd probably prefer Kithkin or dwarves over Elves. If green is a color they want to support they could also bring back elementals, myconids, or beasts.

3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Eldrazi wouldn't really be surprising. They've been brought up on pretty much every page of this thread. Yeah, they have detractors, but that's more them in modern and them nom noming on people's favorite planes. A commander deck doesn't have to hurt any plane we'll ever see.
I don't mind if we're getting 5-color Eldrazi tribal, but what would the general be like?? You can't just stick a random legendary in there. The 3 Eldrazi titans would be the natural candidate lorewise, but they're all colorless (and 2 are dead anyways....).
A new 5 color Emrakul? We gonna get Emrakul, the Sleeping Technicolor Tentacles?

They should take out their rage on Fiora, so Dack Fayden can steal some junk to save the day. That's a plane, financially, that not a lot of people care about.
Also a beast deck would be cool, I'd love to see a Jund brew so I could cut the W out of my Saskia Beast/Garruk tribal lol.

I totally would not mind getting reprints of all the Dak Faeden themed IDC cards in a commander product, but that would probably be another commander deck series for the future.

Typing "elfs" right after being mocked for it, by more than one person, shows you aren't listening (and don't get me started on how many times you've misspelled "unexpected"). The all caps temper tantrum was too much. Especially when it's you telling people they're wrong about a topic you don't actually know they're wrong about. Elves have just as much chance of being here as anything else, whether you like it or not, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with people wanting elves, whether you like it or not. Do I want them again? Not really, but I'm not going to claim I know the future. That's one of the most prevalent, most obnoxious behaviors on this site, but just because other people are obnoxious doesn't mean you need to be obnoxious too.
I really hope you're wrong and we do get elves just because you're so unbelievably obnoxious about it.
Also, plural elf is elves. Get it right.
No, YOU get it right. The proper plural of "Dwarf" and "Elf" is "Dwarfs" and "Elfs". Tolkien was the one who created the words "Dwarves" and "Elves". For centuries, "Dwarfs" and "Elfs" were what were used. If you're going to correct someone, at least be right about it yourself.

As of the most current oracle wording, Eladamri, Lord of Leaves uses "Elves" and Depala, Pilot Exemplar uses "Dwarves". So those are the proper plurals in MtG, and many other places because of linguistic evolution.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I really hope you're wrong and we do get elves just because you're so unbelievably obnoxious about it.

I don't think Tolkien had any influence whatsoever on the word "elves" (He did on "dwarves," but that has nothing to do with this conversation).
Some advice: "If you're going to correct someone, at least be right about it yourself."

Very true, as long as they keep the oracle text for Turnabout as the original Urza's Saga printing, which far less wordy on confusing lol. I was just referring to the point that the conspiracy sets didn't sell very well - mainly due to over-saturation of products, but that is a point being discussed in another thread lol.
The more I think about this, the more I think the remaining decks are something like: Goblins, Merfolk and Zombies. That the unexpected tribe was meant to be Dragons. But someone leaked it early.

To create an air of mystery and get people speculating in order to maintain interest for the product seeing as how they didn't reveal a single card or even artwork for it.

Not to bad of a theory
But here's the Great Wall of China sized problem with this theory
Pretty much every single set in existence gets alteast 1 dragon and players love em so much it's like printing a mint the one from amonkhet is the latest good dragon (gameplay)
I'll be alright with zombies as long as it has more colors than UB

I think the main argument against Eldrazi is that they would have to make three Commanders with the full color identity of the Eldrazi deck as alternative commanders. And now you either go with many colors and have three new legendary cards with that color combination that are tied to the Eldrazi, or you go true colorless and do - what? - the Big Three again?
We've past the Eldrazi story arc by now which means the optimum time to build hype around them has passed. I'm not one to be tired of Eldrazi (though I acknowledge many are) AND I think a supplemental product appearance is for the foreseeable future the prefered place to meet them again... yet... I don't think an Eldrazi deck can hold a candle with regards to vast explorable lore to something that we know can draw from many different worlds like Dragons have done. There are Wizards on every world (even Amonkhet, where Clerics reign supreme across the colors), and most have Zombies, Goblins and Elves, and Warriors/Rogues - and there are plenty of characters from different story lines for each of those creature types to pick and make a card for. I've seen lists for Angels from half a dozen different planes new and old, Izzet Goblins, even Artificers from times as far apart as the Brother's War to Kaladesh!
We have seen five Dragon deck legendaries and unless the Eldrazi deck can have legendaries as varied as a Dragon worshipper from two or three years ago that never got a card and a Cat Dragon from a Legends novel to a Phyrexian dragon engine from the Weatherlight story. That's some major and varied established points of lore touched upon right there - and that's not mentioning the Avatar of dragonhood itself or the great Kami that got away (from getting a card so far).
How many established points of lore can you touch upon with an Eldrazi deck? You can maybe get one new Eldrazi-related legendary out of Zendikar and one more mutant out of Inistrad (like Brisela or Hanweir, but the coolest two have made an appearance already). What else? They're not going to use a supplemental product to announce that Marit Lage is the long lost fourth titan and Worzel has been an Eldrazi-worshipper all this time. And anything less would feel not worth doing - at least not while we are in a post-Eldrazi story arc.
I wouldn't mind being proven wrong, but with all the competing options Eldrazi feel lukewarm right now if only because their story can only be a single one.

It doesn't really matter much what they make in the end. Pretty much any tribal is possible in commander, it's just a matter of how much does it cost to actually build said tribal and run it. I like the commander decks mostly because they make it cheap to get into a specific deck. Honestly, for dragons there's basically two ways to build it. One way is to play the cheat things into play type of game and run Kalia. The other way is to build a deck with ramp and just go at it from that direction.

I said it in another thread, but it bears repeating: Dragons being one of the tribes ranks up there with "the sun rose this morning" in terms of how expected it was.
What if the "unexpected" deck is creatures that morph and filled with lords and cost reductions to unmorph your creatures.
You know I did consider the theory that one of he decks will end up as a 5-color legend that has a cast ability that chooses a creature type and it enters as the type and has a lord ability for the chosen type as well.
Basicly a commander like Karona, False God but eons better, no switching to players, and actually gives a lord ability to the chosen type before and after attack.
But really won't happen here it's focused one one-tribe with one sub-tribe

Personally, related to C17 or no, I love mono-black zombies, and a reprint of Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Unholy Grotto, Cabal Coffers, Zombie Master (5th Edition art), Grave Pact, Death Baron, Endless Ranks of the Dead, Soulless One, Cemetery Reaper, and Lord of the Undead are much needed in my book.
