Doesn't nescesary kick the fatty tribes from this, the main commanders new ability could all be the same thing but several doubt it though.
Totally not counting the big creatures out. In fact it was the Eminence ability that made me include a second fatty tribe. But again that's purely speculation. It could totally be all big tribes (Angels, Demons, Hydras, etc). This all reminds me of draft speculations in sports, so fun!
By the way the unexspected tribe may actually be spirit they are not fattys and like angels/demons and a few other tribes with no legit tribal commander and spirits have a ton of tribal support cards already and it doesn't have to be 5-color it can Ben witch maw (WUBG) and O-Kagachi being in dragons doesn't kill them either there's still a few legendary spirits not printed yet. There was a aftermath of O-Karachi call sisters of....I forgot that spirits name.
I had read an interesting theory somewhere that perhaps the dragon spoiler also spoiled the other tribes too. So spirits would be in on that theory. But you are correct in that spirits are a wide ranging tribe and could totally fit.
I was wondering the same thing too. It led to some strange combos and it'd make so much sense as if each of the odd pairs shared a typing with one other tribe.
I'm just hoping they are a bit more giving in what they put in the decks and don't just cram jank or over printed staple cards in the mana-base. As long as they evenly place expensive cards across all the decks it should avoid the problems they've had with one deck selling out over others. So many lands in the time spiral to Scars of Mirrodin age are super over-valued on the secondary market right now because of no reprintings and they would work well in commander.

2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

I'm hoping we get to see Theros temple lands and more of the pain lands show up. Deep down I want the filter lands from the Lorwyn / Shadowmoor blocks, but I don't see wizards trying to do that right now.

Either master set will probably have the filter lands
As much as I would love slivers, I don't think they need an EDH preconstructed deck.
- They already have (arguably) the most powerful and synergistic commanders Sliver Queen, Sliver Legion, Sliver Hivelord and THE BEST possible commander for their tribe Sliver Overlord.
- They had 5 print runs already (Rathi slivers, Legions slivers, Time spiral slivers and 2 runs of Shandalari slivers) that encompass pretty much all the spectrum of useful abilities AND offer redundancy, not only in the sme color, but also off-color redundancy.
- They had 1 all-foil deck reprinting some of the most sought-after rathi slivers.
I mean, there is no need to add even more love to a tribe that pretty much has everything already while other tribes are struggling with the little they have.
That would be a great argument if they didn't dump dragons on us.
Mind you I love dragons and my favorite EDH deck is my Scion Legendary Dragon deck...but even for me it was fairly low on the list of tribes that really needed love.

Agreed
One more shot against his argument the bigger reason slivers is wanted for reprint is because well they are no longer a budget tribal some of the cards the professor (tolarian college) did on slivers for edh well just a few more than half are not budget anymore
The only good arguement he has is we will not get more than 1 five color deck, if we do get five-color pre-built decks slivers should be locked. And angels have the same problem because of Maelstrom Archangel and people weirdly want five color for them blue and green aren't heavy at all.

a few problems though.
1) Commander products are still mostly casual products. And SPECIFICALLY multi playerfocused. Slivers are notoriously unfun. On top of which, Slivers are notorious for very crappy mirror matchs. This limits the potential for a fun multiplayer enviornment.
2) There are going to be A LOT of new cards... which is a problem because Slivers has next to no design space left... they have done just about every sliver you can do...
3) Dragons are a five Color deck already... So i doubt we will have 2 5 color decks...
UNRELATED:
If angels are a thing I expect either RW or RWB. No green angels that I know of and only a handful of U.

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
I'd be down with a WUBRG Angel deck, myself. Another big flying tribe, sure, but a popular one and it does have enough distinction from Dragons to work. At the very least I'd like a WUBRG Angel legend and the WB Angel sister from Innistrad. Feather from the Boros Legion would be nice too.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Your argument could have been made against dragons, they're primarily BRG but they still got 5c. Which makes me think that the others will be 5c as well. WBR already has Kaalia and on top of that, I believe there are less B angels than G or U ones.
4 5c decks? Doubtful... And again, now that we are fairly certain 5C Dragons will be a thing, I doubt they will make 2 5c deck. I still anticipate RW as that is where the bulk of the Angels are. I didnt count Maelstrom and Atraxa because they are pretty much all colors. and I forgot about Bant's Angels.
A 5c angel is viable if about 10 out of the 14 or 15 new cards they print support the tribe. A couple of cards representing legends we didn't get such as Feather, Asha and the 4th sister and the rest brings them together
1) Commander products are still mostly casual products. And SPECIFICALLY multi playerfocused. Slivers are notoriously unfun. On top of which, Slivers are notorious for very crappy mirror matchs. This limits the potential for a fun multiplayer environment.
Everything in Commadner is notoriously unfun. But there are some aspects that each individual finds fun for them.
2) There are going to be A LOT of new cards... which is a problem because Slivers has next to no design space left... they have done just about every sliver you can do...
Where does this notion even come from? Sorceries, instants, enchantments, keywords, other mechanics, specific creatures? All are prime for the picking with Slivers and how they can have more room. They have basically limitless potential. You could have one Sliver grant Savor the Moment, a second one granting Phasing, a third grants the effects of Call to the Grave, a fourth acting as a tribal version of platinum angel, etc.
3) Dragons are a five Color deck already... So i doubt we will have 2 5 color decks...
Well they aren't bound by the standard five decks for each combination and we already have seen part of their hand be five color, so yeah its very possible. Eldrazi, Slivers, Dragons and whatever else is naturally five color.
2) There are going to be A LOT of new cards... which is a problem because Slivers has next to no design space left... they have done just about every sliver you can do...
No, this is utterly wrong. Sit me in a room by myself for a few hours and I can come up +25 brand new Slivers. Because this is a supplementary set where the cards are Vintage and Legacy legal only, and allowing me to use keywords long since abandoned and/or utilizing the Tribal card type (this is Vintage and Legacy legal, remember), than the brand new Slivers shoots to +32 Slivers right away.

never heard of that theory.
but guessing by each one of what the theory is
ramos = dragons or taigam = human
wasitora = cat
O-kagachi = spirit
and Ur-dragon = dragon or avatar
Cat
Spirit
Dragon.
I was wondering the same thing too. It led to some strange combos and it'd make so much sense as if each of the odd pairs shared a typing with one other tribe.
Simple Draco it's a five color deck so you can get the maximum atvantage with him.

3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
for dragons case they would have to accept printing Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund
Since there appears to be a spellcasting theme (looking at you, Taigam) I could see Dragonstorm making it in the decklist.
Dunes of Zairo
SHANDALAR
Innistrad - The Darkest Night
~THE RAVNICAN CONSORTIUM~
A Community Set
Commander: Allies & Adversaries

I'll lose my mind if one of these is Slivers. If we're not getting Slivers, I can pretty much ignore C17. Either way, it'll work out for me.
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
That would be a great argument if they didn't dump dragons on us.
Mind you I love dragons and my favorite EDH deck is my Scion Legendary Dragon deck...but even for me it was fairly low on the list of tribes that really needed love.
Dragons of Legend, Lead by Scion of the UR-Dragon
The Gitrog Monster
Gonti, Lord of Luxury
Shogun Saskia
Hive World
Atraxa hates fun
Abzan
Agreed

in Black we have:
Crypt Angel
Desolation Angel
Fallen Angel
Angel of Despair
Deathpact Angel
Magister of Worth
Selenia, Dark Angel
Tariel, Reckoner of Souls

We already have 5c Dragon Stompy, so there's nothing stopping...
-5c Human, Sliver or Ally board swarm
-5c Elemental land matters
-5c Zombie or Spirit graveyard shenanigans
-5c Warrior or Soldier aggro
-5c Eldrazi token accelerant
Angels aren't cohesive with one another enough to be a 5c deck, so if we do get an Angel deck it'll be GW(x) tokens or WU(x) enchantments.

Spirits are the reverse of what the elementals do
Elementals mostly enter the battlefield trigger.
Spirits mostly cast trigger. (Ofcoarse Eldrazi as well.)
