Well, I like her much better than Bird is the Word and Hellbent 2.0. Her condition is a lot easier to me and her having Double Strike offsets her lower power.
>we're trying to make the gods be different from the Theros ones guys
>white god is essentially a Heliod clone
Heliod needed permanents that were actually cards. This is actually functional in a tokens / equipment deck.
But it doesn't give Tajic vigilance so I still don't like it, even if this is basically what I wanted.
If it were a creature with one fewer body needed, I'd like it better and actually run it, but this just isn't something I will find reliable in the deck I want to put it in.
I'll just have to pick up Mobilization at some point. I don't like 4-mana for a token.
This seems to be a common complaint,
but I prefer Oketra- she doesn't require a bunch of white permanents to come online,
so she works much better in multicolor decks.

Oketra is easily the best god revealed so far, but what is the point of putting Double Strike on her? They might as well have just given her +3/+0 instead, since she won't need Double Strike to survive combat- she's indestructible! Unless you're attacking into an empty board with a pump spell, she might as well just be missing the second keyword the rest of the gods get.
It's so she ****ing hurts when she hits. Add just a couple points to her power and she can swing for 10.
I know, but without that pump spell, she does the same amount of damage in my original post. Doesn't anyone else feel like they just like "Well, Oketra's a 6/6 that makes tokens, but we have to make her feel different than heliod. Let's give her -3/-0 and slap double strike on there. There, now it's the same amount of damage, but now it's 'different' cause Heliod has Vigilance and Oketra had Double Strike."
I dunno, I guess I would have preferred she just had vigilance and +3/+0, unless there's some awesome equipment coming up.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I can't wait till I can play my bicycle land out, thus making me heckbent, while I have Nessie on the field. You know, so I can attack with my Pervert.
These gods seem week.
And in every case the base set art is better than the invocation.
Sad to say I won't be that excited if I pull a God invocation.
I have a feeling the green and black gods might be the best for last. (I hope so)
Although we can pretty much guess their stats and abilities based on the and other cards and they might be subpar too
Sorry I'm still just in tears laughing since they say Desert is too powerful.....
Before rotation I'm finding it hard to play many of Amonkhet cards. BFZ,OGW,ShInn,EldMoon,KLD, and AER cards are just way,way better.
Looking forward to give this one a go with my Modern Abzan Doran/Assault Formation toughness matters deck. I like big butts.

OMG these gods are all terrible!!! Overcosted activated abilities slapped on legendary mythics that do NOTHING when they hit the board. If you're going to create a card with the creature type "god" you better create one worthy of the title.
Not bad... But from the first spoiled god... We kinda knew where the level would be...
They're indeed weaker than Theros gods (when activated).
And from both a lore and flavor standpoint they most certainly should be weaker than the Theros Gods.
Theros is a natural plane with the Gods gaining their power from natural mana leylines.
Amonkhet is (as far as we know so far) an artificial plane which means artificial mana leylines feeding these Gods their power.
Of course they shouldn't be as powerful as the living incarnations of a natural plane.
Agree entirely. Note how the Theros gods represent natural physical domains of the world and preside over them. Amonkhet's gods are more abstract and more akin to powerful beings that happen to have vast powers rather than personifications of the world aspects.
Her Invocation art is also pretty good.
