The token ability is less powerful but a 3/6 double strike is stronger than 4/5 vigilance I'm pretty sure.
What card are you talking about? Heliod, God of the Sun is a 5/6, and he doesn't have Vigilance. He's one less power in effective combat, and his ability is much better.

We where talking about my prediction for what Oketra would be.
The post powerful thing bout the Theros gods was the fact they where fatties with Indestructible. I think everyone is rose-tinting how powerful they where (as a group)*.

I think it's cool with vehicles. Makes your board very resilient to wipes, especially with Gideon (any of them really but especially Ally) and Heart in play. Its so easy to turn on, it's almost kind of scared tbh.
Hazoret the Pervert and the blue god seem a bit underwhelming, but this guy is fine. I don't understand all of the complaining. It's a different block, different theme, different design team, different mechanics...of course the two god groups won't be the same and, really, I wouldn't want them to be. Power levels fluctuate. They always have. Everybody just R-E-L-A-X.
You seem to overlook that Oketra is easily a 4 Mana 6/6 Indestructable Beat-machine. Would you play that ?
Activated ability is overpriced, but a nice bonus on top of her body, which you should focus on !
Shes easier to activate than Heliod & & doesnt limit you to monocolor
Great with Nissa d:)
Activating is the easiest so far, but why play this?
Hoop 1 - activate
Hoop 2 - keep activated
Hoop 3 - find a way to get it around blockers or keep your creature quotient intact
Too much effort. Unless you just want a guaranteed vehicle activation play a better creature.
What bugs me most about those gods is that they are a "do nothing" other than hold an overcosted activated ability while not online. Theros gods at last did something while not online. This one is a lot worse than heliod, who wasn't good at all either. She hits for 1 more, but heliod had an effect while not online and his tokens were stronger.

Heliod was a 5/6 Indestructible Beat-machine and saw zero play. Heliod condition wasn't much harder than this to acheive, he had an effect while offline and made better tokens.
These gods just aren't good design. The archetypal template they went with really hampered their ability to make cool gods. Thus far the only interesting one is the red one.

I don't hate them, but the new gods are all very unexciting. They should have had static instead of activated abilities. Sure, they become undercosted beaters eventually, but paying three or four mana for marginal effects doesn't feel very "epic".
This is probably harder to turn on without a token deck. Heliod at least counts himself in his 5 devotion cost. So by the time you drop heliod, he should be on. Oktra, maybe not.. Theres enough token sweeps out now that she may not stay on

Oketra is easily the best god revealed so far, but what is the point of putting Double Strike on her? They might as well have just given her +3/+0 instead, since she won't need Double Strike to survive combat- she's indestructible! Unless you're attacking into an empty board with a pump spell, she might as well just be missing the second keyword the rest of the gods get.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I can't wait till I can play my bicycle land out, thus making me heckbent, while I have Nessie on the field. You know, so I can attack with my Pervert.
I like Oketra better than Heliod. She synergizes better with her token ability, and she thematically fits into a Cat deck (even if the tribal support isn't there). I just wish Amonkhet had catfolk so Oketra could justifiably create Cat Warrior tokens. But then again, she cares about more than just Cats.
It's interesting that we're getting more white Warrior tokens. You know, Maro did say that at least one class tribal block is in the pipeline; that may be coming up within a couple blocks. Sure would be neat if there was support for Warriors and Wizards in that block, what with all the Warriors and Wizards running around in Amonkhet.

It's so she ****ing hurts when she hits. Add just a couple points to her power and she can swing for 10.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I'm not sure why they wanted to remake Heliod. There's nothing wrong with it, but it seems like a lazy design when comparing the two. They don't even work together well.
Also, I prefer Heliod. A higher floor is better than a higher ceiling.
Will probably see play since it is a decent beatstick. However it's just so boring.

And from both a lore and flavor standpoint they most certainly should be weaker than the Theros Gods.
Theros is a natural plane with the Gods gaining their power from natural mana leylines.
Amonkhet is (as far as we know so far) an artificial plane which means artificial mana leylines feeding these Gods their power.
Of course they shouldn't be as powerful as the living incarnations of a natural plane.
You're assuming natural is more powerful than unnatural though, which might be true in some circumstances but also untrue in others.
I can see Oketra seeing play in that mono white Servo deck that's been seeing fringe standard play.
