People complain about angels being out of place on certain planes, but you need to remember these are derivative of the mythology, not emblematic of it. In the same way that Kaladesh angels take inspiration from the Asura without actually being them, it's important to see this as "Magic through the lens of ancient egypt" rather than ancient egypt in the form of magic.
Sometimes they make rules to help evoke the feelings of a source material, like Theros using archons in place of angels, but at the end of the day this is still magic and needs to feel tied to the greater universe which has certain stipulations.
