Fantastic value with the green guys that give your own duders -1/-1 counters. Another part of the Nest of Scarabs wombo combo? Generally she looks like a fun commander.

Not quite Nest of Scarabs good, as you only get one token on the trigger, no matter how many -1/-1 counters you put on a creature, where the Nest puts a number of black insects equal to the number of -1/-1 counters you put on a creature. It's very good no doubt, but not as good as the Scarabs in that regard. If she did do that, she'd be broken as hell.
I'm going to be the history nerd here to put out some ironies with how Hapatra is based off of Cleopatra. The first is that Hapatra likes snakes, Cleopatra supposedly killed herself by plunging her hand into a basket full of snakes. The second irony being that, though we so heavily associate Cleopatra being so very Egyptian, she was actually a part of the Ptolemaic Dynasty, which was ethnically Greek/Macedonian and only came to rule Egypt after Alexander conquered it, then he died and his conquered lands were split up amongst his generals, Ptolemy getting Egypt. So yeah, historical ironies, they're great.
Game play wise, you could figure out some nice Proliferate shenanigans with her I'm sure.

Yes, I'm well aware. Hapatra plus Nest in Limited still looks like a recipe for crazy.
If there's effects that put -1/-1 counters on multiple creatures besides the demon, she could be pretty good. She has no evasion whatsoever which sucks for her first effect.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
Definitely making a black/green counter deck with this, the archdemon, nest of scarabs, and maybe those green creatures that etb with counters on them. Hopefully we get some kind of reanimator spell/creature in the set so I can go full circle with it all.
Very strong card but why the hell isn't this a naga? Seriously. If we get a dozen more legendary humans and not one legendary naga I will be so pissed.
I wonder if each color pair is going to get a rare legendary vizier. It would fit the number crunch. If so the GU one better be a naga because that's the only reason why this being human might be justified. Then again, it makes goddamn snake tokens. Ugh.
Yet another BG legend just because, but at least she doesn't involve sacrifice mechanics or the graveyard.
What's interesting is that she is enemy colored, which potentially means that they are not doing straight allied or enemy colored cycle of legends. Thinking this since the UW legend was first spoiled, and now we have Hapatra. Maybe it'll be like Kaladesh where we just had a random assortment of colors for legends without a cycle.

They could also be doing all color pairs spread across the two sets. Don't really expect it though.
It like this one. The first ability is a bit irrelevant though since she has no form of evasion.
Nice card, fully build-around and meshes perfectly with what BG wants to do in the set. Good luck getting pass all those deathtouch tokens. The art is just great. Probably crazy good with winding constrictor.
The more I think about this card, the more I like it. It's actually really good. Makes Pharika look bad. Note the difference between the wording on this and Nest of Scarabs: if you put ten counters on one creature, Hapatra makes one token, but if you put one counter on each of ten creatures, she will make ten tokens. (Nest of Scarabs would make ten tokens either way). But yeah, Hapatra has grsat potential for commander, and standard too. On her own she's decent but there are so many other cards that break her. I just really wish that she was a naga, not a human.
Spwculation time: there are about 15 spots for multicolor in this set. Calling it now: either we get 10 two-colored uncommons and 5 legendary two-colored rares (mix of allied and enemy, the rest of the pairs in Hour of Devastation, maybe RTR/GTC split?) or we get 5 allied pair uncommons (enemy pairs have split cards at uncommon) and all ten rare legends. We'll see.

Very resonant flavour on this Vizier! I was immediately able to identify this as Cleopatra by mechanics and name, unlike Temmet, the Boy Murder King, the failed attempt at Tut.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I can't wait till I can play my bicycle land out, thus making me heckbent, while I have Nessie on the field. You know, so I can attack with my Pervert.

The order of the trials/cartouches is WUGBR.
So far we have WU and GB viziers.
Might we just be getting the viziers that are adjacent in trial order? So UG and BR yet to come?

Really hoping for BW. They share zombies, so there may be hope.
Edit: Should mention that the card is pretty cool. Interesting design, not just a rehash, tasty flavor, 2 drop, could be powerful...
I like it.
