or just play elves or other aggro with tokens or recursion.
Good job wizards. RuinEnchance the game more with colorless life loss at 2 mana that can be triggered by nearly all decks.
I will get 4 of and win with the above jank in Edh. You are free to try it in other formats because why not?! O.o ahahaha

Cult of the Succubi Eating Kitten and Brotherhood of Hamsters - Zombie One/Hulking One - Brotherhood of Hamsters disapproves of Damage on the Stack amputation, the corruption of Mythics, and the "Major changes to Extended" in July 2010. You aborted our cards., but we approve of the Modern format. Even if it doesn't ha ve Carrion Feeder or Caller of the Claw in it.

The 2 drops are super crowded in that deck. Then again they can certainly leech from it via springleaf drum even if attacking is unprofitable. Maybe a 1 of instead of Master of Etherium or something
Affinity needs cards that do something, it doesn't want (figurative) Null Rods.
And as far as grindy sideboard cards that fight through hate, Ghirapur Æther Grid feels like it just has to be better... Not an artifact (which is a plus in this case) and doesn't require attacking/springleaf drum, also kills creatures...
So as far as modern affinity it gets a pretty solid "meh" from me.
Not to say it won't see play in other decks, especially with Death's Shadow romping around.
They're up to $2.50 on SCG preorder. Early hype is real lol
... Well people may be overvaluing this card even for that cost. It may be crazy good, it may not. Remember that
a) it has no effect on the board other than tempo
b) your creatures need to survive
In fact, I might see this shining more in some WUb Lingering Souls (perhaps Delver) and baby Jace aggro control over traditional aggro. And even there it takes valuable slots
This card may not be useful in ordinary aggro builds. If it was a creature, however... Pretty much the same reason Eidolon of the Great Revel is good while Pyrostatic Pillar is only situationally useful. This artifact may need a body to tick.
Here's the thing. This is simple and elegant design.
So the main designers didn't design this, they stole it from the card file. Thus the question is whether they Skullclamped it. I'm inclined to think not, since judging by some of the other designs, the card would have turned out needlessly complex, probably bouncing enchantments or creating 1/1 warrior tokens with vigilance or putting -1/-1 counters on your own tapped creatures for no reason.

I love it with Chord of Calling in frontier, but it also helps a ton with modern elves.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
"Attacking creatures you control that aren't blocked get +1/+0." This card is awful... I'm really not sure what the fuss is.
Read the card again. Tapped, doesn't mean they have to attack. And it is life loss, not damage.
It will find itself a niche is a few decks in Modern. It isn't "awful". Far from it.

STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.

Yeah, when you forget a bunch of things, good cards look like garbage, you're right.
This is a pretty solid boost for most decks which tend to win by putting an opponent to 0. I feel like it's not going to get dropped turn 2 a lot, though.
This card has enough possibilities to steal games on the cheap that I could see this used in modern. It's fairly open in how it gets there too with the creature only needing to be tapped.
I'm personally excited for this card for my Ghave edh token swarm. Cheap alt win con that makes me not have to worry about that guys pillowfort? Yes please.
Elves probably like this a lot, yeah. My first reaction was, 'Lorwyn Merfolk adore this card.'
As for the other thrones, I am not sure that the statues are meant to be other thrones. (Unless I'm missing where the other thrones are in the art?) OTOH, it does a fair job of evoking that Egyptian temple with 4 statues of Pharaohs, two on either side of the main entrance?

...Can we call the new archetype "Clown Car"?
I think I'd rather pay 2 mana for an effect than 4 like Fusillade.

Yeah. What does it push out?
Arcbound Ravager? No.
Cranial Plating? Hell No.
Steel Overseer? I doubt it.

Because in go-wide type strategies, a lot of times there will also be a "Win the Game" clause on this card.
On second thought, maybe the reminder text is a better place to put it.
