Cut is actually pretty good, being only slightly worse than Roast at 4 damage *but* it can hit flying creatures, so that makes up for it. Ribbons should be really good with Inspiring Statuary and/or several Etherium Cell tokens.
Rags...well, for BB2 I will stick with Yahenni's Expertise. If I really want to -2/-2 all creatures, though, I will go back to Flaying Tendrils. Besides, Riches will likely never be a thing.
The Cut half of Cut to Ribbons feels like another sorcery that should have been instant tbh
Love all of the art but not super hot on the effects
While that would have been nice, it is still a decent removal spell. I'd say that it is comparable to Roast in Standard. The only problem is that Roast wouldn't be great in the current Standard either because of Copycat and Mardu Vehicles being able to dodge most sorcery-speed removal.
Meh, not impressed. Not bad, but not amazing. Maybe we don't yet appreciate the flashback nature of these cards. They seem over-costed, but they do represent two cards worth of spells.

This makes me wonder why more people aren't running discard outlets like Key to the City with Alchemist's Greeting--4 damage at instant speed for R1 to a creature should be really good but we simply aren't seeing it.

That is a good point. Maybe it is just too hard to consistently pull off?
great card, specially for multiplayer, but it's great regardless.
4 damage to a creature for 2 mana is alright even at sorcery speed and it doubles as a late game finisher....
kill a dork on turn 2, deal 5 damage when you draw your seventh land on the seventh turn and have an empty hand.
it's great. lol

Probably so. Requires you to spend turn 2 casting key then wait and have to hold up the mana until needed rather than moving ahead with an actual plan. Unless your plan is some sort of UR control, in which case "land, pass" is usually a valid play.
Cut // Ribbons is the Flame Slash my Rakdos deck needs and deserves in EDH. Great card for Commander, possibly Standard playable.
Insult // Injury is another terribad rare that is rare for limited. If I have to choose between it and Flameblade Adept at rare though, I choose it. That's my hope at least.
Rags // Riches is a powerful effect and should be played in EDH - in Dimir it's basically stapling a bad Infest onto your inevitable Blatant Thievery which is preeetty good. Probably not good enough in Standard; if decking people with CMC 10+ cards with Sorin, Grim Nemesis was a thing in this standard then B/W Metalwork Colossus Control would be a real deck and not a broken dream on my notepad of decks.

I dunno, Insult seems like it could be potentially explosive. It negates Gideon of the Trials' damage prevention effect, which can help punch through. Also makes Hazoret the Fervent's activated ability really hurt.
Gideon: Sorry Hazoret, I cannot allow you to kill this human.
Hazoret: Hey Gideon, let's see your throwing arm.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Ribbons is great. As opponent loses life, it does not say is dealt damage. So, cards that say prevent damage dont work the same as it is a loss of life not damage, similar to pain lands or black tutors.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
