Cartouche of knowledge is't bad, I like auras that cantrip or have Rancor like effects. I could see it going in some sort of auramancy edh deck. It's def not modern worthy. Maybe Standard?
The Trials, they're kind of like baby Oaths; except with no static ability they really do depend on the Cartouche cards for best possible value... even as an enchantress player in EDH I'm not sure I feel them.
3 mana? Can be brought back with sun titan? Not Gideon specific? Absolutely hilarious with Kytheon since you will always have a Gideon on hand (still have to flip) I think... I really want this for edh. Mono white can't win? Well... neither can you guys!

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
F* that Gideon. just noooo..... We have 4 Gideons legal in standard, and 2 planeswlker search card. This is is just the biggest punch in the d** card they could print after spending 18 months with and overpowered 4 drop Gideon. I thought at least the new one would compete with the old one. Instead they work together and even better with Heart of Kiran........
