Kefnet, the Mindful2U Legendary Creature - God
Indestructible, Flying
Atk/Block only if 7 or more cards in hand. 3U: Draw a card + may return a land you control to your hand.
5/5
Still not the commander I want a masterpiece of.
Edit: But will eventually find a place in my land based edh deck.
Edit2: Masterpiece revealed. Like the normal version more.
For the red god I like the masterpiece version more.
Supposedly the text says you MAY return a land to your hand.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Fairly opposite of Hazoret in animation condition. Ironically works well with her in terms of activated abilities. Damn good stats. Can do stupid things with landfall in Commander with Patron of the Moon. I love that his activated ability fuels his animation condition by two cards at a time.
Eh. I mean, I like him more than Hazoret, but... just lacking in flash again. He at least seems like his ability is decent enough, not sure how much of a problem bouncing a land will be, but still not very God-like.
Not a fan. I like this less than the red god. Horrible late game. Horrible as a top deck. Activated ability, like the red god's, is overcosted.
Forcing you to have 7+ cards in hand isn't very good. Where the red god seems better late game, this card seems better early game, which is backwards with regards to the color pie. And with seemingly more fliers this set, it might not be all that difficult to chump.
I'm not very impressed with the gods so far. Red and blue have been alright, but nothing supremely impressive. Red is better imo.
So underwhelming. They should've pushed the envelope on these better. These requirements are so steep. This should've said "You have no maximum hand size". Yes, play this in a control deck but just for it to attack you can't do anything. Cheap combat trick with the activated ability I guess.

Dude there's no way wizards will give in on giving us a standard usable infinite hand size.
its a 5/5 indestructible flyer for 3 freaking mana people.
Also add into effect she is in the color that allows you to refill your hand and her ability allows you to draw more cards and bounce a land to your hand.
I think she is pretty good. And with support could be a very good beater in a Draw-Go type of deck.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
In standard most control decks deplete their hands quickly due to the nature of the format. A lot has to go right for you to have 7 cards in hand by T4. Even then you cast this at 3cmc and it does...nothing? I have to invest 7 mana into for it to draw me a card? And have 7 cards in hand for my 5/5 to attack?
I'm failing to see how this set addressing the Saheeli Combo and Vehicles + Gideon atm. I'm hoping for answers and new decks that can combat the big 2 but as of today, nothing touches the power level of what they do.
They want you to play this as a mini-commander in standard. Leave the four mana open for either a counterspell or to draw a card. Slow counters and then later you can swing with this easily.
I guess this is alright, since the land thing is optional.

I was about to question whether Soramaro moved to another plane, but since the land-bouncing effect is a may, then I suppose there are enough differences already (I didn't really consider the mana cost, indestructibility, attack/block requirement and variance in attack and defense to be too much of a difference since I was focusing on the ability).
I guess it's a lot of bonuses stacked on to a card costing 1 more than Azure Mage.

He. And my complaint is just that he isn't flashy. He's super efficient, but he's a God. He should have a bit more flash than this. Granted I suppose the Gods from Theros weren't quite as flashy as I was remembering either.
While it seems underwhelming in terms of Modern playability, I think it'll be a solid 1-of in a Standard control deck. What's nice is that if some type of control deck does develop in the upcoming Standard meta (not Temur Tower, don't think this fits in that shell that well), that you can return cycle lands back to your hand late game to gain some more value. Also can save your manlands from removal, but that's an expensive play and I imagine there's much better things to do with 8+ mana.
TL;DR: Overall underwhelming, but might see some fringe play in Standard if the meta isn't too hostile against classic control.

So between Kefnet and Hazoret, I am keeping my expectations in check for Bontu, the black god, to be decent. These gods are not awe inspiring like their Theros counterparts. Bontu will probably require X amount of creatures to be sacrificed, or lose X amount of life, all while having 4/X stats.
I think I'm most irritated that Wizards gave Blue another three mana 5/5. Yes, Kefnet won't be attacking as consistently as Thassa, but come on man. Kefnet is a late game mana-sink/finisher once you establish control. His cost is low enough to cast and forget until you need him to finish the game.

An ancient Egyptian God, or a random Azure Mage?
Yes, can confirm. The part where you return a land is a may.
I really like this god! It is more or less what I expected / was hoping for.
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
Well, may makes it better. Still underwhelmed but at least the land is optional.
I can't imagine any way this could possibly be good.
