That is correct per Wizards. The only thing new is art on some cards, and schemes.
I want it because it will be a good simple product to play multiplayer without caring for balance or someone having an expensively good deck. No deckbuilding needed, just an understanding of the rules, and it supports 4 players.
I don't want it because how often will I play it, and where's the value in only having new schemes? It feels like Planechase Anthology all over again.

Wanted -Zombie Foils and older expensive Zombie stuff. High Priority- Beta Z Master/ Int. Collector's Edition.
I might grab this because Archenemy is a format that I wanted to get into, but the product run was so small that it disappeared entirely before I could get anything.

Targets and Walmarts around me had those for at least a year, but then again I almost always find popular Magic commander decks there too.
It seems like they are changing these types of formats to premium products and leaving commander as the sole introductory supplemental release.

Yeah, I've bought quite a few commander decks way late from walmarts. I found Kaalia laying around a walmart well after they had stopped being printed, and usually pick some up when their price gets reduced a bit. Couldn't ever find any archenemy.
And I think that looks like their plan, where commander is their big thing that isn't inline with standard. With little duel decks scattered about.
When could we expect the deck lists for these? Soon or like the week of release of June 16th?

Interestingly, the product information lists the Amonkhet world building team ...
Its mostly Amonkhet flavor themed...no big mystery there.

So is Wizards/Hasbro ever going to let us know what cards are in these decks or do we just have to buy the dang thing to figure out what is inside? Lets go Wizards, step it up!!!

If these are Amonkhet-themed enough to have some cool alternate art reprints I might buy them. The art on the one scheme we see seems Amonkhet-y enough.

I suppose we'll get a feature article about one week before the release co-inciding with HOU's build up and release.

Okay, then its 16 days out until release. Its not building any excitement, only frustration if you ask me. But thanks for the post.

I'm entirely in the same boat though. I've been dying to hear more about the new schemes and whether this will be a good thing to buy as an "out of the box" standalone game. All the time all I was to read about was people pretending the Reserved List would not apply to Iconic Masters.
I'm counting the days!

Didnt even know this is a product coming soon. Seems like a good deal at 60 bucks. 4 alt art walkers and the stack of schemes is a nice start. Even if the rest is just reprints they usually have some goodies in them.

I guess that's why they say ignorance is bliss. I've known about the product for months and have had plenty of time to think and speculate as Wizards drags its heels releasing any info on it. So now we play this game of wait and see. Meanwhile you can pre-order it for well under MSRP if you feel like taking a gamble. Or if they reveal some hot chase card watch the pre-release pricing shoot through the roof if you can't order quickly enough. First world problems for sure.

The decks don't look very exciting or fun to me. I wanted to pick this up, but there just isn't much here that I want for the price. I mainly just want the alt art Planeswalkers and a couple of the reprints like Abolisher, the Checklands and maybe Lavamancer.
The lists are OK. Nothing extra valuable, just okay.
I do not quite like the arts for Bolas and the Gatewatch. But if I am not mistaken, we have the FIRST PW (and maybe in general) full image of Chandra with her goggles on.
The schemes, though...are simply BEAUTIFUL, flavorwise.
Make Yourself Useful is just cruel. And the ones directly featuring Bolas.... When Will You Learn? in particular. Thinking whether it is Samut on No One Will Hear You Cry...
And I also wonder who is the figure on A Reckoning Approaches. Razaketh?
Overall I don't like these schemes as much as I did the originals, but the art is wonderful on most of them and it's nice to see real themes carried out (the Horrors and land ramp, specifically).
I'm on the fence if I'm going to pick one up. A couple of things I'd like to have but I could just pick them up for cheaper on the secondary market. Not sure I'd want to pay MSRP for it.
And really, 25 plains in the Gideon deck? Really Wizards, 25 plains. Even crap mono color Intro decks would get a couple of non-basic lands.
I was hoping for a little more. Guess we will see if I purchase or not.

Selling some cards I don't want.

Thanks to DarkNightCavalier from Heroes of the Plane Studios for this sick Signature.
Also, with Bolas occupying Black (and allies) you have Black Centered vs. Everything Non-Black. Kinda boring.
Edit: Scheme art is beautiful. Just wish the Schemes themselves were as half as interesting as the art.

As a completionist of variants, I'm inclined to strongly agree and, since I have to get a second copy of each, in especially bummed out.
The decks seem iffy too, overall but at least there is flavor dripping everywhere.
