void_nothing: I guess I know that. Does Embalm have a cost? I am getting from the other thread that the creature itself is White as well as the Embalmed Zombie.

... so many questions....
It appears to be an activated ability, like unearth.
Wasn't expecting to start to getting actual Amonkhet information today.
Well Exert is what people were expecting, when exerted a creature doesn't untap on your next turn. Still I like that Dragon, haste 4/4 that can kill something when it attacks, but has to take a turn off from attacking if it does. Seems very strong.
And nice to see Wizards including counters on tokens to help keep the board of limited games clearer.
Actually the inclusion of those -1/-1 counters could be kinda useful for standard too. As when you have some creatures with +1/+1 counters and others with -1/-1 counters, these could make it easier to keep track of what is what.
Counters! Doubletap! All the tokens! This is looking pretty fun.
Quasi-doubletap. If your attacking creature with Exert has Vigilance (Always Watching for example) then you can exert it and it can still attack next turn. At least that's how it seems from the description. So you don't need to tap it to exert.
That's going to cause a bunch of judge calls on Prerelease I'm sure. Still, it does make sense thematically, and I'm looking forward to it. (Plus I love dragons. )
I'm a little surprised that Tattered Mummy is a Jackal and not Hound. Jackal being a new creature type is fine, but not sure why it can't just be hound especially when all past jackals have been hounds, kind of like Naga and Snake.

This is a bit of a different issue. A Jackal is only as much of a Hound as a Wolf is. It's like how Kaladesh made Monkey and Ape separate again after they'd been folded together.

Definitely the case.
"When your next untap step rolls around, if the creature you exerted is untapped, nothing happens and the exertion cost you nothing. Maybe you found a different way to untap it, or maybe you gave it vigilance. You are clever!"
This could be the place where they print the infamous Mythic vanilla with no casting cost that you have to get into the graveyard fist in order to play it with Embalm.
Anyways, I love the Embalm ability concept, although it will probably lead to even more resilient threats and neutering of spells, as it's the norm with Creatures: the Tappening these days. At least I hope that it's well executed and that we get one or two super fatties with ridiculously low Embalm costs to attempt a Modern Reanimator brew.

It's a 2/2 that can block an additional creature, and it has embalm, which is some kind of recursion ability.
EDIT: It exiles the duder from the graveyard and creates a token copy that's a mummy (i.e. it's white and a Zombie).
