This already looks better than the previous modern masters. Wizards seems to be learning how to make good reprint sets. Surprised to see IOK at uncommon when it was rare in a recent set.
The problem with MM15 was they designed it like a Standard set where about 80% of the value was in the mythics.
This! I love this. I don't need giant $150 lottery tickets like MM15 (Goyf) or EM (FoW) when packs can have 7-8 $20+ rares (on top of mythic) and a couple $10 uncommons. While the price is still super high, value don't seem horrible.
I love the tension of Path in an environment stressing 2-4 color fixing. Between its inclusion and Molten Rain, I actually might be setting some time and money aside to draft this.

Eternal Masters was actually a really good set. The problem with it is that many of the money cards they printed were only expensive because of scarcity, which is why only a handful of cards are worth more than $4-5 now. Just as an example: Shardless Agent spent a lot of time in the $15 range until the EMA printing.
What sucks about this is that I kinda have a feeling Wizards is knocking this set out of the park because it is going to be the last Masters set.
This set is definitely shaping up to be more on par with the first iteration of Modern Masters, thankfully. Good stuff.
I swear though, Path to Exile is like the Teflon Don of card prices. It's been reprinted around a dozen times, several of which have been precons, and it still commands a price above $10. I mean, I get it, but...damn.

Can you name all of the creature types with at least 20 cards? Try my Sporcle Quiz! Last Updated: 6/29/20 (Core Set 2021).
That might be their plan but if we buy enough of it they can just print it again in two years to make more money. I'm still waiting for some uncommons that MM1 had (Lightning Helix and Kitchen Finks) as well as ones that never seem to get reprinted (Curse Catcher and Aven Mindsensor)
My source informed me that Path and Inquisition are at uncommon 3 weeks ago. All true as we can see. Source also stated Lili and Tarmo are at mythic. So Lili is 95% confirmed.

I think Aven Mindcensor is highly likely since the fetches are in.

Was your "source" also responsible for your claim just two days ago that Damnation wasn't in MM17? These just seem like wild guesses.

(But my brother pre-ordered a box so and promised me a damnation if he gets 2 in a box)
How many boosters are in this box is it reduced like eternal masters?
Yeah, it's 24 per box like EMA and other MM releases.
Your brother is statistically unlikely to pull even one Damnation from a single box,
so two is pretty much unfathomable barring some weird packaging error (or a lucky foil pull)
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon

Wow but atleast there is still a ton of value in these boxes.
But I a math genius 1/53 chance of a particular rare and 24 packs that's about 7 hundredths percent chance of getting the one you want from a box
Then getting 2 in a box it's (1/53)/552 (I think) that's 3 THOUSANDTHS percent chance of getting the 2 of the same rare in a box
I like seeing both at uncommon, price drops are needed. I just hope they do demonic tutor it is oddly expensive right now (might need eternal masters for that though).

That's not printed during moderns time despite it not being reserved
I love how strong the uncommon slot is shaping up to be, even after just two days of previews! Major upgrade over MM15. I feel like we just need Spell Snare to totally round things out. I definitely want to draft this set, and buying random boosters for potential value is starting to seem like a relatively safe idea. Relatively.

Tarmogoyf, huh? I call BS. You don`t get to shout "called it!" if you didn`t actually post anywhere that IoK and Path were in the set as uncommon, which, as far as I can tell, you didn`t. Any six year old can predict Lili and Snap, and you`re going to be dead wrong about Tarmogoyf, so this is nothing but fakespoiling for attention. Take this nonsense to someone more gullible.

I posted on Youtube in the comments of a couple of videos from AlphaInvestments. Here's the most recent one and good luck finding my comment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQ36QdHas2k
How am I going to be dead wrong about Tarmo exactly? And why do you even care if it's gonna be in there or not? Also, I don't care for any attention, I'm just sharing what I found out. Btw, the source is doing quality assurance @ Wizards, but I'm still taking everything he says with a grain of salt.
Welp, Lili is confirmed. Let's see if Tarmo makes a comeback. Tbh I don't really care if he's in or not, we all know the price would stay mostly the same.

When it's in a set with a $9.99 booster price tag, it's an uncommon.
Pretty simple, really.
Get them when the price drops they will both recover in a year or two.
Modern: Decks I'm playing right now:
G Mono Green Tron (34-10-3 paper record, only SCG/Regionals/PPTQ record)
C Eldrazi Tron (9-5)
UG Infect

Did he ever post about IoK and Path being uncommon, specifically? That could add or subtract from his/her credibility.
Gotcha I get a path to exile and damnation near that time.
