That's not too surprising with the W/U blink archtype they have. This can be absurd in limited if paired with the right creature, although it's definitely not the price of admission that you hope for out of a booster. Still a decent creature in its own right.

They weren't expensive to begin with, but I've never had the luck of running into a foil one in the LGS nor the binders of other people (I don't buy online), so now they'll be easier to find (and even cheaper). Good for me I guess.
Looks to be sick in limited with the blink archetype they have. They say it's UW but it looks bant to me with the likes of thragtusk and surely other good blink green creatures in the set. Foil demand for this card is crazy too, especially because AVR foils are AIDS.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:

Don't want to put words in Ryperior's mouth, but he's talking EDH, so he may well be chasing a foil copy. Foil Deadeyes have been through the roof for a while thanks to EDH demand.
