Also, Wizards once again changing art with a player portrait... Nearly every card art with the player portrait gets changed, kinda' rude of them IMO
I always thought the player portrait cards looked super gross and unintentionally doofy. Funny enough I was surprised to learn Ranger of Eos was actually a portrait card. It looks totally natural in the old art to me. This new art is pretty slick though.

As someone perpetually unhappy with Volkan Baga's art,
I welcome any opportunity to phase it out.
I know aesthetics are hardly objective, but you're a fool. Aside from the double-dong worm, most of his stuff is still miles ahead of something like a wayne reynolds masterpiece
I can't believe you used facevaulter as an example. That card actually made me laugh out loud the first time I saw it. I saw it early in my magic days and it let me know what kind of creatures goblins were, but also gave me a clue into the kind of game wizards had built. Baga is quality, but most of his pieces are kinda shiny and static. (His moxen style cards are breathtaking and nearly unmatched by any other art in magic tho)
