I would expect the prices of the Fetches will drop $10, $15 at most. This would be in line with other high demand cards from previous Modern Masters sets.

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
My guess is we won't see the Zen fetches drop below $20 per, which is significant enough I suppose. Being in a smaller print run of $10 packs coupled with high levels of demand should stimie losses substantially.
Which would be fine if some of them weren't in to 60$ to 80$ range and if the price didn't climb right back up.
I am glad that they reprinted the fetches with the same art as the original ones. This means the originals will drop in value substantially. Same goes with Damnation.
Bruh... what magical Christmas land do you even live in? The prices will drop 10 bucks tops if the box prices shoot through the roof and there's no second print.
*facepalm*
Face it dude he's right the prices are going to tank on these. I heard modern masters 2017 is getting a slightly bigger run than the other non standard sets (excluding conspiracy)
Damnation is probably going to drop toe $15 and the fetches to like $25 (except for UG and RU)
Just like Tarmogoyf prices tanked and never rose much higher after two masters print runs and how the allied fetches also helped bring down enemy fetches dropped down to a not ridiculous price and never rose back up....oh wait none of that freaking happened! Zen enemy fetches will drop in price for a mount or two then climb back up and MM17 will start out at 25-30 and then climb due to demand cranking higher than supply.
And seriously Wizards! 'We want to focus and keeping standard attractive.' Then you put next to nothing in standard that people want to see and put it in supplemental product.

Anyone who says reprinting fetches is bad should rethink. Obviously printing in a standard legal set or supplementary product is ideal, but we need reprints however we can get them.
And an MM printing says nothing about where else they might show up, other than probably ruling out their appearing in another Masters or similar supplemental product for the next year or two.

Reprinting fetches here is cool IF the 5x print run rumor is true. If this set turns out to be very limited, and fetches stay 40-50+, this is the stupidest, greediest move in a long while.
wouldn't the greediest move be the scenario where they print the fetches and also print tons of boxes so that they can make as much money as possible?
There is just no pleasing some of you is there? For years we hear over and over again that Enemy Fetches need a reprint. WOTC needed something to sell this set and here you have it. This will definitely decrease cost on these fetches as well. They are being printed at rare not at mythic. Compare this to EMA which reprinted Wasteland and saw its value drop around 75% for a card in super high demand. Not saying this will be a 75% drop in value but the decrease will be significant if the rumors are true and this is a 5x print run. Who is also to say that even if the product sells out quickly that Wizards will not do a second run much like EMA or even reprint them again in EMA2018 or MM2019? This is a way for them to increase circulation of the product without damaging what is their cash cow, Standard. Calm down, wait 6 months and then reassess. In the meantime, I am buying a box and drafting as much of this set as possible.
If you look at the rares that were reprinted in Modern Master 2015 and EMA, the vast majority of them are much more accessible than they were before, even the ones that see competitive and heavy play. This set will be printed much more than the original Modern Masters run and possibly even more than the Modern Masters 2015 run. Think about cards like Fulminator Mage, Blinkmoth Nexus and Eye of Ugin. Think about how much those cards were worth before they got reprinted and now. Cryptic Command was more than $50.00 and is less than half of that now.
Most of what you mentioned are spells, not lands. All fetches are $40-$80 and the demand for them is superhigh. The lower end could get under 20 but the high end will drop $10-$15.
You don't know that. That's just baseless speculation. Historically, in the Masters sets there haven't been many expensive lands that are reprinted. But we know that rare lands like Eye of Ugin, Blinkmoth Nexus and Wasteland dramatically dropped in price after they were printed in Masters sets. We also have reason to believe this set will be printed more than the original Masters and potentially more than Eternal Masters.

And seriously Wizards! 'We want to focus and keeping standard attractive.' Then you put next to nothing in standard that people want to see and put it in supplemental product.
Except that the reprinting of the allied fetchlands actually did substantially drop the enemy fetches ($10-20 each), albeit temporarily; also keep in mind that they're not perfect substitutes, so you shouldn't expect the enemy fetches to completely crash.
MM2015 tanked cards like the original Eldrazi titans, Iona, etc. Eternal Masters tanked the price on some (already widely printed) Legacy and EDH staples like Entomb, Wasteland--like seriously, cut them straight in half. The print run of this is expected to be far bigger than EMA, and a lot of these chase cards are getting printed at RARE, not mythic.
Expect substantial and relatively sustained price drops on some of these cards, and if you're "worried" thatthe price is going right back up, then you should treat this for what it is--the best time for you to buy in.
If I'm not mistaken, there are two open land slots... the one everyone is speculating is for Cavern of Souls, but also one between Simic Guildgate and Verdant Catacombs.
My guess for that would be Terramorphic Expanse, but who knows.
One thing you should note is that the Allied fetches dropped dramatically even though they were introduced to two new formats. The enemy fetches already are in all formats - well, not standard - so they don't get introduced to new formats that need them. This to me tells me that they'll drop too, even if they won't be as easy to access as the KTK ones.
With the rest of the set also boasting high value cards, that will further pressurize prices of these versions of the fetches. Same as what happened in EMA. The more high-price cards are in, the more they'll drop because there's only a certain amount of value that can be in a booster box.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Why would misty stay up high? The demand for it has lessened substantially since the allied fetches were introduced to modern, unless there's some hot deck running 4 because it needs 4 oh wait infect got probe banned out of it to make it infinitely worse.
If they do a really big print run on this, the fetches are going to tank and be pretty reasonable price wise. Damnation too, which finally gets reprinted after 11 years in a pack product.
I'm excited for this announcement, way to kick off previews and it makes me want to draft this set as it looks like 5 color should be easily viable/hooray.

Misty is one of the most used fetches in legacy (maybe the most?) and quite hyped there. It's the 3rd or 4th most played fetch these days it looks like.
Boros Guildgate is #231 and Crumbling Necropolis is #233 and they didn't spoil anything else that could be #232, I'm pretty sure I can guess which card is going to be in the set between those two.
Fetches in a limited release $10 MSRP product is awful. This is going to jack up the price of packs, not meaningfully impact the price of fetches, basically guarantees they won't be reprinted again any time soon, and probably means the rest of the set is garbage if they're busting out these little bits of reprint equity.
Yeah people don't realize that fetches aren't coming to standard/there's no demand being created for them there, which is a huge demand because fetches are fetches. These fetches are just for basically the modern playerbase, kind of legacy though basically everyone into legacy has the fetches they want, and EDH. They should see a substantial drop similar to wasteland.
People getting into legacy aren't being priced out by fetches, they are priced out by dual lands. Legacy playerbase isn't really growing, so no, BUG and other such decks shouldn't be creating that big of a demand for misty rainforest. Wasteland is played a lot more in legacy and see where the reprint brought the price to.

No they won't. Wasteland only dropped the way it did because barely anyone plays Legacy anymore. Meanwhile, these fetches are used heavily in every competitive format they are legal in.
I expect the exact same as what happened with Goyf. They will drop 15-20 for a month, that go back to where they were before, if not higher.

I am very much regretting not taking my own advice and gobbling up fetches while I had the chance. At least I'll be able to convert my verdant catacombs into proper duals now with the price spike.
This does nothing but reaffirm my thoughts that wizards is dropping modern officially, but the decision came after they'd invested too much into this set to not print. So they're doing their best to get product out of their warehouses as quickly as possible to mitigate the losses. A print run this miniscule is going to drive prices through the roof - I'm talking $250 scalding tarns, if not higher.
