Only if you cast Increasing Vengeance in response to Kara Zev's Expertise.
If you cast Increasing Vengeance as your free two cost spell off of the Expertise, then the Expertise will already be resolving. And while you can certainly target the Expertise with the Vengeance, it will no longer be on the stack for Vengeance to try and copy when Vengeance tries to resolve.
Her expertise is another one Yidris doesn't want,
but it could have great burn/aggro applications.
Saskia might want. Eliminate a blocker for one turn (and attack with it) and cast another spell with it.
You could also sac the creature afterward to, well, Goblin Bombardment and Tooth and Claw are the first cards I thought of. Though I mostly use the latter for infinite ETB/death shenanigans anyway.
I like this mechanic of "When CARDNAME attacks, create a token for this combat only." Do we have a pet name for it yet?

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Oh yes, I can see it now: Cast Kari Zev's Expertise, targeting Zada, copy it for each other creature you control, then cast a spell like Expedite off of it, also targeting Zada.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Trying to come up with a good deck centered around her. With all the other legends of the set, I feel like the decks you want to play them in are self explanatory. Kari is a mixed bag, but the one thing I do know is that you want to be attacking with her every turn. Nice little combo I thought of with her:
Now you essentially have an unblockable Kari that kills multiple 1/1 creatures, loots, AND leaves behind a body should she be killed via removal, burn, or combat damage! I think she and Sram, Senior Edificer play well together. I may try to build a RW Voltron deck of some sort with her.
If Pirate world hits while Kari's still Standard legal, then you'll likely have a good deck for her. BR Pirate Tribal is gonna happen, folks. In the meantime, she's probably good in a BR or RW aggro build. It's a pity her monkey buddy doesn't stick around to help crew Vehicles, but then again maybe you don't want a monkey getting behind the steering wheel of a Daredevil Dragster or Untethered Express. He's convenient sac fodder at any rate. And he's good at enabling Revolt.
What we really need is a silly Modern Red deck that somehow runs Norin the Wary, Kari Zev, Skyship Raider, and Squee, Goblin Nabob together. The funny thing about running Norin and Kari together is, she effectively tells Norin to act like a Monkey during combat, hence the 2/1 red creature! On a slightly less silly note, Norin and Kari are a good tag-team for Impact Tremors and Purphoros, God of the Forge, as you'll get at least two triggers off Ragavan and Norin each of your turns.
Also, in case no one else has plugged it yet: Insert Skies of Arcadia reference here.

Her Expertise is nasty, even in standard. For 3 mana you can steal a blocker and say.. steal anotehr one with Wrangle... or Give one of your dudes a +4/trample boost... Or Even shock away a remaining blocker... her Expertise is going to be strong...
And if you are in say... a BR Aristocrats style deck with Yahenni, you can sac the stolen dude EoT... You can even steal a vehicle, just to sac it later.

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
Is Fiveod talking about the comments regarding Kari being attractive? Finding a lady attractive makes one a creepy weirdo? 'Cause I don't see what's so creepy about wanting to plunder some booty.
OH. I take it that information was divulged in the story article? 'Cause I haven't read it yet, and I had no idea (I thought she was in her 20s). Well then, I'll be promptly cleaning up my earlier posts in this topic. My apologies to anyone I unwittingly offended. :C

Kari Zev's Expertise is super strong. The tempo advantage alone is massive.

This also works well with stuff like Ancestral Vision, Living End, Wheel of Fate, and Hypergenesis. If Hypergenesis wasn't Modern banned, we'd be looking at a modern red Blightsteel Colossus deck right now.
