Now I wanna know what context makes demons appear on Kaladesh - you can just imagine the people on the market all like, "damn I pop out for 5 mins to get veg and now my soul is condemned to eternal suffering "
Also, cool card is cool - with the amount of good artifacts around it shouldn't be hard to run this as a 4- or 5-drop, which is gonna be pretty insane I reckon.
Art is good, but I'm not a fan of the card. The third and fourth abilities have nothing to do with each other (the third one might even help your opponents in Commander). Reminds me of the improvise dragon. It could have easily been rare.
It is a limited bomb, though. But so is the rare dragon.
I'm not a fan. With madness still in standard, this may help opponents and it seems pushed as far as flavor. It's like wotc HAVE to have a demon and angel in every single block, which I don't understand much.

Timmys love their Angels and Demons. I know I do.
Improvise gives this guy a chance at something other than limited, but I doubt it. Although it is kind of nice he can turn what may have been durdly artifacts to convoke him out into removal.
This card is sick in limited, where it should come down turn 5 or 6 as a burly flier that causes discard and has the option of killing dudes by eating servos or the spellbombs.
In constructed I'm less sold, but I could be undervaluing his Improvise. Just not sure B/x/y control needs a big dumb flier that generates painfully slow advantage, even though he does technically have immediate impact and generate at least neutral advantage. We'll see if a Grixis Artifacts deck takes better shape and wants 1 or 2 of him at the top of the curve.

Looking back at the past five blocks:
- Kaladesh has both. This is a bit odd, there's not much context, especially for demons.
- Innistrad has both, of course. They make perfect flavorful sense.
- Battle for Zendikar has a couple angels, which makes sense. No demons besides Ob.
- Tarkir block has a couple demons, which makes sense, but no angels.
- Theros block has a few demons, which makes sense, but no angels.
So only one recent block has angels or demons that don't make flavorful sense, and less than half of recent blocks have both an angel and a demon.
Also, since demons and angels are the direct incarnations of black and white mana respectively as living beings, they make some sense on any plane with those colors of mana.
The American flag in the background is really jarring. If there's one thing America doesn't represent, it is medieval bazaars. Otherwise the art is really fantastic.

- Battle for Zendikar has a couple angels, which makes sense. No demons besides Ob.
just to point out, story-line wise Ob was exposed to have wiped out all the angels on zendikar. Ya, know when he got stranded there as a result of living though the mending which took like 99% of his power, and trapped him in his demon form. Ya, Ob is one of them old school, Urza era walkers like bolas (well bolas with kiddy gloves on)
and to all who say that it is an American flag in the background, Look closly, you shall see that it is red and white stripes with blue and white strips. Last i checked the american flag had white STARs not strips in the blue area. Though i do admit, the entire tent overhang looks out of place.
Is the art a joke? Herald of Anguish, a demon with what looks like an American flag near his hand?
You are reading way far into it. It's just a pattern that happens to resemble the American flag. It's not a political painting, it's just a magic card.
The artist could have nationalistic pride; we'll never know. Anyways most artistically talented people perpetuate their views through their art, I don't see why this could be any different. It happens all the time. Of course he's not gonna draw an American flag. Of course he's is gonna let your thoughts wonder; that's what art does. It could be tongue-in-cheek, it could be coincidence. At least it generates interest, and that's the most important thing.

and with so many upsides,
it might even see Standard play.

An essentially free cost reduction mechanic has broken some cards in the past so the potential is there for the improvise mechanic, as well.
