I feel like people are really underestimating Pendulum of Patterns. Three life and draw a card for any color! Has to be a sideboard card for Legacy Burn in order to win the mirror, right?
That's not even in the same planetary radius as a playable card in legacy burn. 7 mana, even broken up into a payment of 2 and a payment of 5, is not efficient enough in any constructed format for just 3 life and a card. If you want to add lifegain to your legacy burn deck, lightning helix and soulfire grand master already exist. If you specifically want 3 life and a card, Reviving Dose does it for 3. If you want to go deep and play an expensive artifact to gain life surely Obelisk of Alara is a better choice?

Both uncommons entice me more than rares. The G one would me really cool with, Ajani, caller of the pride
Rares are too specific. Why the WG allow to tutor only Ajani, Valiant protector ? I know its the precon's PW but both Ajani belong to AER.
For the tutors, I think it's so they don't have to take into account every version of that planeswalker ever designed (past and future) when they make them and also so that they don't have to base future designs of planeswalkers around what planeswalker tutoring cards exist. That would be quite the headache and something would eventually break.

They don't have to--Call the Gatewatch already exists and can find any planeswalker.

Please tell me there's a reason it took this long to color-shift Titania's Boon. I mean, besides the fact that Cathars' Crusade and Celestial Ancient are repeatable versions of the same effect for W more, the fact that Ajani Goldmane is also a repeatable version but slightly higher devotion, and the fact that Meadowboon is strictly better. So, yeah, not that interesting outside of limited.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I think Ajani's Comrade has potential. It doesn't gain counters at quite the same rate as Ajani's Pridemate can, but it doesn't require a lifegain build-around strategy and it has trample. Not bad for a precon bear.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Tezzeret's Simulacrum is the first card from a Planeswalker deck that I actually care about. It's actually really good with Original Tezzeret, he can search this out without dying, and untap it for 6 life drain a turn!
Came in here to say exactly that. I love that they're no longer referring to the specific card from the PW deck, and they're now referring to any walker with the same name.

I think you are mis-remembering. Each of the planeswalker decks had 1 card that cared about any version of the walker and 1 card that searches for the specific "planeswalker deck planeswalker."
Yeah, the switch to curse may have been needed to keep the site open, but was a huge net negative to quality in terms of the forum's functionality.

Standard - RIP Cat
Modern - Death & Taxes
Commander - Mazirek, Trostani, Angry Omnath
I think that you're misunderstanding.
I feel like their collector's number being over the set's collector's number is a good reason not to count them toward that.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
You better be just talking about the mothership spoilers today
Besides I'm sure we will get the red legend and the expertise later today.

The red expertise and the legendary won't be till tomorrow I guess.
