Wait, so other than being BTE 5-8 (which isn't really used in anything except a few decks), what would make this any better, particularly with revolt?
Only thing I'm really seeing is mono green stompy...
It's essentially a free 2/2 for a card slot, not mind-blowing when it comes down to it, really only useful for tricks like Bushwhacker and Talara, etc., not saying those are not good tricks, but you are right, it's only a few decks. Thing is, those decks were quite good already. Another good deck would be tribal humans (attribution)
This one is also worse with Bushwhacker, since it doesn't make red. I'd hate to just have this one in hand, with a Bushwhacker, never being able to cast it. Also, Revolt is more likely to be on post-combat, which makes it even more of a nonbo.

there's no reason to believer Revolt and combat have any synergy vs. fetches and revolt or eggs and revolt.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

BTE wasn't used a whole lot because there was only the 1 - not enough copies of the effect to reliably build around it. Now that you can go to 8, you can more reliably build for it. Just like when Shrieking Affliction brought about 8-Rack, and Reckless Bushwhacker brought about 8-Whack (incidentally, 8-whack is where my BTEs presently reside)

Peasant 540 Cube
This and Curio can enable storm or Inexorable Tide or Quest for the Holy Relic or Forgotten Ancient. The same is true for Emissary, though, and Emissary also enables Shrine of Burning Rage because she's red. Also, red is more common in storm decks anyway.
On phasing:

I know I, for one, hope to run these in combination with Talara's Battalion and Myr Superion.
You say you have your whole hand on the battlefield by turn 2, affinity? Well, two can play at that game!
