Eh, it's not great but it could see sideboard play in standard. Especially good against servo's and clues, and lets you keep your own. I think it really depends on how many new artifacts come out that see play.
It's a one sided wipe. That is rare and at least 5 mana nowadays. No it won't be money but it will be sideboard, and crushes decks like vehicles and metalwork colossus.
My least favorite kind of card - an obnoxious limited bomb that loses you games no other card could, while not being good enough in constructed to justify its existence.

This card will definitely see play but most likely as a one-of in W or W/x decks with another two in the sideboard in case you are facing Aetherworks Marvel, Dynavolt Tower, or Metalwork Colossus. I do agree that it won't ever show up in Modern or Legacy for a variety of reasons. The fact that it is cmc 5 also makes it immune to the usual enchantment hate seen from time to time in Standard.
This is terrible, like its just a terrible card. Merciless Eviction is just one mana more and better. I'd hate to get this as a rare considering it really isn't that amazing. Maybe in limmited with all the artifacts but in constructed its garbage.
Yeah I don't think it's a card aimed for constructed play. I imagine that it's quite good in limited though. Five mana, sure, but Kaladesh already has some powerful artifacts and I imagine Aether Revolt will be similar, so this card will often be quite useful. Well, so long as you yourself aren't running too many artifacts.
It's also rare. I suppose it could have a use in Commander as a Mycosynth Lattice combo. Still not as good as Aura Shards in that regard, but still...

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I actually think this is a solid sideboard card. No matter what this card will clear any clues your opponent currently has, while hitting problem cards like Scrounger, Gearhulks, vehicles, and other variety of problem children. It's a solid card against R/B, R/W, and different G/W decks. Just doesn't do anything to the big three which might limit it's uses.
After some pondering, I dunno what's the purpose of this card other than being a storyline card. In most circumstances, if you take out the vehicles, wouldn't the pilots be doing the beatdown instead?
Would Aether Revolt change it? Probably not, as it's a small set. In any case the vehicle decks hit so hard and fast. If the robots came in slower and bigger than yea, this card would be much better.
Almost no chance in Modern. If it was 1 mana cheaper, WR/x decks may want this over Shatterstorm. Exile is better than destroy.
I'm not calling this card an all-star by any means and it will be under $1 but it will almost surely see SB play. We'll just have to see what artifacts come out of this set but it seems likely we will be getting some good ones. Being able to permanently get rid of clues, thopters, and servos while also being able to slow down the decks already built around artifacts (panharmonicon, aetherworks marvel, dynavolt tower, aetherflux reservoir) means it already has corner case uses. It's only going to be better once we get the full spoiler.
We need more comments like this. Too many people during spoiler season seem to focus solely on how close any given new rare comes to being the next standards Tarmogoyf or how much money they will lose if they pull it in a display.
Being french and having discussed about it, I can confirm the french spoiler has a typo. It's unfortunately fairly usual that 1 card has a typo, like every set or 2. Without speaking of weird choices of translation on numerous cards...

Pioneer - A bunch of stuff Modern - Humans Legacy - Grixis Phoenix / Death & Taxes
Is it too hard to just reprint Reclamation Sage in Aether Revolt? It would be in every green sideboard in Standard, and may even see mainboard play in a lot of decks.

No, because we all know French EDH is 1v1...
