Dark Intimations is bananas on multiplayer, though, I mean.... 2UBR to make 3 people sac a dude and discard a card, fetch 3 cards from grave and draw 3 cards is an awesome deal, even if the card is nowhere near playable in regular constructed magic.
lol.
Fetch one card and draw one. The second part doesn't scale with opponents (most "each opponent" effects don't these days).
Edit: oops, beaten to it. Should have refreshed the page before I wrote my post.
I don't know that it's amazing, but it is neat. The edict part is pretty meh, just like Remorseless Punishment, but recurring a planeswalker, drawing a card and threatening to set up a better Nicol Bolas later seems like enough value to make it worthwhile. I wouldn't jump into Grixis superfriends because of this card, but if I was already inclined towards playing Grixis, well...

You might want to give Dark Intimations another quick read, you return A crature or planeswalker card and draw A card. Singular on both. Not one for each opponent. It would have to say draw for each card discarded this way, or something similar.
Still a realy cool card.
And is making me think, we will be seeing a NEW Bolas card, something with some new abilities.
This set is already looking interesting, going to enjoy seeing what else the Revolt has to offer.

So, Bolas in this set? Otherwise I don't see the point of having a card like Dark Intimations printed here and not in Amonkhet. The effect is at the same time generic enough to go in any set and narrow to specific cards in that set.
(See Haven of the Spirit Dragon)
Bolas will be in the next set (the Egypt-themed one). This is an enabler for Standard to allow a connection between sets.
I suspect Dark Imitation hints that Tezzeret was trying to duplicate Bolas, possibly to rebel against his boss.

Intimation, not imatation.
I believe it's more or less foreshadowing the presence of Bolas, or more accurately, the power of Bolas.
Pia's Revolution is a lot of fun, in that I can't wait to use it for Daretti and any other decks I think of in the future. I wonder if it could enable Eggs in some way.

You only return one card, no matter how many opponents you have.
Compare it to "each opponent loses 1 life, you gain 1 life"
Disallow is strictly better Voidslime. And Dark Imitation is a sign of things to come.
It's been nearly an hour and noone has pointed out that Voidslime is not stricly worse because of frindge cases like you have 1 green mana 1 blue mana and a Pillar of the Paruns. Or you have out a Fable of Wolf and Owl.
Fringe corner cases like that are not taken into consideration when determining whether or not a card is strictly better than another.
For instance:
"Lightning Bolt isn't strictly better than Shock because you could be in a situation where your opponent has Redirect and you're at 3 life! Shock is better in that scenario!"
Is this a fair argument for Lightning Bolt not being strictly better than Shock? No, of course it isn't, because that's stupid. Disallow's lack of green isn't going to matter in 99.99999% of all games that it's played in.
Meanwhile, the fact that Disallow is mono-blue makes it playable in many cases where Voidslime would be useless, e.g. in a deck without green. Similarly, Lightning Bolt's 3 damage allows it to kill a lot of things that Shock would not, which is a scenario that plays out a lot more often than the example I provided above.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Disallow is a nice new tool. I'm not sure if it'll overtake Void Shatter though as exiling it pretty important in this format. I could see some split of the two.
Wow, was not expecting so many spoilers this morning!!! I like all four!
Pia's Rev-> automatically thought of Athreos since he's one of my favorite commanders. This enchantment will do some work, either in a dedicated sacrifice deck, or just getting incidental value as the game progresses.
Disallow-> Nice balanced counter; the art and flavor text are great!
Battle at the Bridge-> Really wish this was an instant, but like others have said, pairs well with Tireless Tracker clues.
Dark Imitations-> The spoiler that got me hyped; I played cruel control back in the day and this spell brings back good memories. Not was strong as Ultimatum, but still a strong card for standard. The Bolas ability is just gravy and I like that WotC added this even though Bolas will not show up until Amonket. Does not make since to do Bolas here when the next block literally has him in the building blocks of the world. So we have a card that is not with out merit now and only gets better over time.
Battle at the bridge? What bridge? Looks like Ensnaring bridge. I have the absolute highest doubts that card would ever see reprint in a standard legal set, but my inner sadist wants it so bad.

Battle at the Bridge: "Enough expository banter! Now we fight like men! And ladies! And cats who dress like men! For Tezzeret...IT IS MORPHING TIME!"
Dark Intimations: Interesting, a seed for the all-but-confirmed Bolas card in Amonkhet.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
They are in this weird spot where a 3 mana counterspell is way too expensive, while 2 is too cheap. They are starting to figure it out with Disallow, a Cancel with huge flexibility, and Revolutionary Rebuff, a nerfed Mana Leak with a hole in its plan. We certainly get some interesting designs when the correct cost for an effect is X point 5. The same ting is going on with the removal spells.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
As a sorcery it is designed to take out Emrakul, provided that you have sufficient mana and/or artifacts available to hit 13. For the same effect, though, you should probably just use Ruthless Disposal, presuming you aren't using any other sort of sorceryspeedremoval.
I suspect Dark Intimations is going to be a lot like Kozilek's Return and be a card you don't want to cast nearly as much as you want to put it in the graveyard. Once you have two or three there, then cast your Bolas planeswalker, exile all the copies, and have him enter the battlefield with more than one extra loyalty counter on it.

so, not nearly as good as I thought.
still nice in multiplayer.
Gideon seems to have "powered up" for this fight. He has improved body armor! Super Gatewatch Rangers, go!

disallow is sweet
is dark intimation a sign of Bolas being in the set?
No the next one
It's the same concept is eye of ugin eldrazis never existed yet when the eye came out.
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
Oops. I misread that word. Thanks for catching that.
Nope, never happened.
