The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
It is about damn time!!!! I can't believe how long it has taken them to reprint imperial seal in any means of reprinting the card at all. Judge foil grim tutor next. I predict the price tag on this one will still be fairly high. I'm guessing $100 to 150 range. Sure it's currently ridiculous at $385 but we all know it's not worth that much. Though being a judge promo it's still very rare. I don't think it will drop to $20 which vampiric tutor is at.
I'm thinking as the price drops they continue to reprint this. Eventually the non-foil, non-P3K versions will be under $50.
I'm hoping at least. It's a card I'd love to own. Nothing fancy, just a non-foil with original art.

Uhhhh non foil and non P3K won't exist, unless of course they decide to reprint it in an eternal masters 2 set or something. That being said, finally. Next up, grim tutor. I'm just curious where the price will go on seals now, as the card has just EDH demand behind it with vintage being a complete nonfactor I'd say. We'll see what happens when the market gets saturated in a few months.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."

Why wouldn't they exist? We all know there are better tutors than Imperial Seal. Only reason it's worth so much is because Wizard's took too long to reprint. This could easily make Eternal Masters, Planechase, Commander, etc. The only hurdle is pricing. I think if you have a judge foil, then Eternal Masters printing, the price will get low enough to be able to put it in other products.

I wish they'd give more of the P3K cards the treatment they did with Burning of Xinye and Rolling Earthquake and get these cards out there a little bit. An affordable Ravages of War would be nice. Same with this one. It's an order of magnitude worse than a card they just reprinted, and it costs like 12x as much if you can even find one.

There there, no need to cry! *pat pat* There are two routes here:
1) It'll be an Exemplar foil. That means severely limited printing, but let's be honest, even an Exemplar printing will probably double the current (minuscule) supply. There won't be enough demand to support an overly-inflated price. Prediction: $200.
2) It'll be a regular foil. That means (relatively) lots of them on the market. Ravages of War is probably more played as a popular Cube card, and the judge foil is under $50 (for people looking to get into Vintage, this isn't the barrier to entry). Prediction: $85.
If you want it, you want it because you're competitive. This isn't a casual card, or a "goes in ever black EDH deck" card. This isn't even one of black's best tutors. This is an "I stuff my deck full of tutors" card. If it were a Doubling Season, or another casual all-star that's overly expensive, then some pessimism might be warranted, but I don't think that it'll be out of line with other cards that go into the deck in which you want to put it.
So stay optimistic, friend! It'll probably end up cheaper than you think!

Lol. Try looking at eBay. Definitely not going for cheap. Probably up there with Phyrexian Norn and Force of Will.
At this point in the card's life, we know nothing. Judge foils always start off ridiculously expensive. And I should point out that my first guess is in the same ballpark as FOW and Norn (and Mana Drain), but for a card that has WAY less demand. FOW is a 4-of in most Legacy decks. This is a singleton in some Vintage decks, and jammed into some EDH decks that want all the tutors.
Cheap is relative. $200 is cheap compared to the price of a Seal currently. Looking at the history of what judge foil reprints have done to other P3K cards, the judge foil has knocked large percentages off of them. Am I being overly optimistic? Maybe. But I make my predictions based on past performance of cards like Xiahou Dun, Overwhelming Forces, and Ravages of War. All expensive P3K cards, all reprinted as judge promos, and all the original printings took a severe haircut. History shows that half of the value of these cards is because they're stupid rare, not because they're stupid good. When they become only sort of rare, the price of the originals drops significantly. And if it's not an Exemplar promo, if it's just handed out to all judges, the supply will end up FAR exceeding the demand at any three-digit price.

This isn't Imperial Recruiter or similar that is actually used in Legacy.

The Facebook group "High End Magic Stuff for Sale!" has had a few posts of these, initial prices being asked are $1000 and there are people PM'ing the sellers. The only one I've seen sold went for $850. Note, I'm not saying this is what I think they're worth, I'm just reporting what the earliest sellers are asking.
I thought it was a real shame that the new printing of FOW hardly budged the price on the card. I have a feeling this printing will have the same effect.
Force of Will is a very heavily played card. Seal is played where? Anywhere besides Commander in decks that want a ton of black tutors? That's pretty different than 4 of in legacy decks with blue in them.
Well Phyrexian Norn isn't format defining, and Norn saw a reprint recently. I don't know what some people are saying. Have people forgotten it's a first ever foil treatment for the card?
Look, like most chase cards, I would like them to be much much cheaper. But with the behavior of sellers and buyers these days, it's hard to envisage that scenario.
