Yidris is a salt farmer if I've ever seen one. I like all the Undaunted cards so far, it's a good mechanic.

Definitely getting the chaos deck unless the decklist is trash. I like all of its commanders.

Spells you cast with cascade will also cascade when his effect is active, right? So a 6cmc spell could potentially generate 5 free spells?
That's cool, he's kind of like a non-creature hating Narset.

No only spells that are cast from hand.

Yidris is probably the most boring of all the new face commanders, as far as design goes. Its powerful, yeah, but it's as bland as unsweetened soy milk. Meh....

I've been having problems with my Maelstrom Wanderer list, maybe switching to Yidris will help.

I think I would rather play Seasons Past or Verdant Confluence.

The ogre is certainly strong no doubt about it. I hope I'm correct in assuming that spells with cascade already will have two instances with it when he hits?

Yidris seems absurdly powerful in general, and especially relative to the other 4-color generals.

This is more of Maelstrom Nexus on a stick than Wanderer. I feel that this was designed to be a "clunkier" Wanderer on purpose (given Wanderer's status in the format, not surprising), but an additional color does wonders for an effect like Cascade. Wanderer will probably still be the preferred choice for the streamlined builds, but Yidris will be more popular in casual ones due to its color identity.

His name reminds me a bit too much of Ylvis and now I imagine him going "Spell goes Cascade, what does the fox say?" when he triggers his ability.

Apparently, extra combat phases/damage would give extra cascade EACH, i.e., if Yidris attacks twice, all your spells gain two cascades per, like the wording on Maelstrom Wanderer

"Yo I heard to like cascade so I gave everything in your hand cascade" yeah its a nice card, I wonder if a purely cascade deck is viable, thanks to the additional color it might be possible to cascade most of your deck through.

Yeah, it should work like Wanderer. You can give cards multiple instances of the same ability. Most, like "Flying, Flying" don't actually do anything. But some, like Cascade, do multiple things.

EDIT: Have people noticed that Ydlis, in addition to being a badass, is green (Natural Order, GSZ) and Blue (Force of Will)?

I've been waiting to see all the legendaries to decide who I like and this guy does everything I want to do in EDH.

I think that Ydris can be built like Narset creatureless. This should be fun

I'm just making gurgling noises. I already have an glint eye nephelum Deck and no one likes it so this will be a good replacement.

Note that cascade gets better the lower the CMC as you get more likely to hit a suspend card, and the higher so you have a better chance of hitting something similarly powerful. Let me put that another way:

Hit with Yidris. Play Sol Ring. Get Lotus Bloom. Sac Lotus Bloom, Cast Maelstrom Wanderer. Cascade X3. Cast Elvish Mystic. Get Ancestral Vision.
