You may have a Baneslayer Angel one turn and a semi-useless creature the next turn.
You mean like Baneslayer angel?
I mean that card isn't very good in commander. I guess it's fine-ish? But I don't think I've ever felt compelled to play it.
Hey, it's decent in voltron decks. Sure, lifegain isn't really worth card slots, but's a 5 drop flying, first strike lifelink that can easily gain 10 per swing. It's pretty amusing when protection from demons/dragons comes up too.
For people asking why the partner generals don't have abilities this interesting/intricate; it's because they need to be simple for three reasons:
1) The effects are simple so they plug and play better with eachother. If you get too fancy with the effects you narrow the card too much and it combines well with less other partners. Simple is much more modular.
2) Wizards has been conservative with the partners, with good reason. They new people would be skeptical of power level and needed to preempt that by toning the effects down.
3) Partner alone adds enough complexity to the card as a commander that a complex effect on top of that makes it harder to keep track of. Other players at the table needing to bear in mind two complicated commanders at your disposal is a lot more, but if it's two straightforward effects it's much easier to internalize.
Abilities don't needs to be complex or strong to be interesting. The problem is that they are both boring and weak. Really those mythics Partners feels worse than standard bulk rares in both power and design!
Look at Ishai, Sidar, Ravos, Ludevic, Bruse, Silas, Tana... Even though rarity is arbitrary on CMD, they could at last feels a bit more mythic than a CMC 4 1/1 flying with an ability worse than a recently printed in standard rare.
Am I missing something? This seems incredibly broken for only four mana.
Your opponent plays an Ashen Rider, and you get a free Ashen Rider trigger. You also can keep the token to block with, at least until an opponent plays a different creature. Your opponent plays a Void Winnower, and you get to mirror the effect against them. Your opponent plays a Farhaven Elf, you get a free Rampant Growth in blue.
This seems like a card that basically every blue deck has the play (similar to Cyclonic Rift).
Is this a joke?
You don't get Void Winnower's effect because it's on cast. Also, the ability balances out because your opponents control what you are cloning. You may have a Baneslayer Angel one turn and a semi-useless creature the next turn.
I'll admit it's really hard to think of something that's going to be completely useless in Commander especially since you can use it to chump block and then it recreates itself. I'm personally putting it in my flicker deck to exploit by flickering their creatures.
Void Winnower is static, it doesn't have a cast trigger. They were referring to making your opponent not being able to even.
Anyway, fascinating little dude here. It's like Ophiomancer pushed to the extreme. And like ophiomancer it'll excel with a sac outlet. (Hello, Breya!)

You could put something like this on a legendary and it will be fine. For example this card could have been the U/W legendary Taigam. Wizards played with partners WAY too safe. We got a weaker Glissa in the UB legendary, both Boros legendaries are CRAP no matter how you spin it (Both allies but neither care about allies or at least have Rally), a gruul token generator that needs to hit to make tokens when you have Ulasht, the Hate Seed or the superior Marath, Will of the Wild, the UW legendary Taurean Mauler. The only partner generals that are not too bad is Ludevic's zombie, Kruphix's Wizard, and Vial Smasher. They actually may be strong enough on their own but it is unfortunate that they got crappy partners to work.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.

I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
A thought: remove the flying, switch up the colors and power/toughness a touch to fit, and switch "artifact" to "blue Zombie" and this would have been a near-flawless design for Ludevic. Just reinforces how mind-bogglingly awful the Ludevic design is.
On topic: the ability is cool, but I don't think I have anything that wants it. Maybe Silumgar, to be able to clone it a few times and get multiple ETBs/tokens? Probably not.
...so what you're telling me is that it makes temporary tokens.
Why couldn't red have gotten this or the closest equivalent instead? This is either in or touching red's part of the pie and it needs all the help it can get.
Blue is already the color which abuses ETBs the most, this would have been an amazing tool for red to mitigate the advantage those decks generate.

Why should red have gotten this? The card makes easily as much sense, maybe more, in blue as in red. Just because red might need some help doesn't mean all the stuff should go to red until the problem is fixed. We've only seen one mono red card so far after all, there is bound to be some more good stuff there.
I asked for a Hive Mind for ETB effects. I guess this is the closest I'll get to it for now. (I know it doesn't copy for everyone, but to have a copy trigger for myself off a ETB is close enough for now).
Love this card in blink decks too, since you get to keep the tokens if Faerie Artisans leaves play (regardless if it comes back right away.) You could actually build quite an army this way.

MTGSalvation; Where the whining is a time honored tradition, and enjoying the game is trolling.
Just for clarification. If someone Tooth and Nails or Bragos I would get a token of every creature as they enter the battlefield at the same time, right?
No, because the Faerie will trigger and resolve separately for each creature.
Sun Titan Enters.
FaErie trigger
Panharm triggers
Panharmonicon token enters
SuN Titan tokeN triggers x2
Original Faerie trigger resolves and exiles the first token and the new Sun Titan Token triggers x2.
At least I believe hat would be the order...

My mistake, I was thinking of Oblivion Sower non-bo and didn't even read the autocard.
