Stonehoof Chieftain 7G
Creature - Centaur Warrior
Trample, indestructible
Whenever another creature you control attacks, it gains trample and indestructible until end of turn.
8/8
This one feels like a staple in a lot of green deck.
Huge, evasive, protect itself, easy to splash, can attack on most board situation or play defence when your behind.
He has a immediate effect on the board, protect your other creature and give them evasion for a final swing or to start attacking when the board is clogged.
Easy to tutor for in green and reanimate in black.
And you can even use a wrath effect at your second main phase for a one-sided wipe.
Really like this guy, but I honestly have no idea what is happening in the art. Is his head on fire? Is that hair or spikes? Is his entire lower half stone as well? Love the card, but just so confused.

Vorthos-player with way too much time on his hands and a love of thematic decks.
EDH - Yes, Each One is Named After a Song. I love tying music to my decks.

Pineapple?
Pine cone?
He is cosplaying as Goku/Squall/Some random Sonic OC character and all the kinky ***** (to put it mildly) that comes with it?
i'm not sure this card does what you think it does if its anywhere near a budget craterhoof...
as for the card itself, a few decks might want it, animar/mayael, but i dunno. for the most part its not going to do much. honestly, if its used against me i'll just remove it before combat. effects that destroy creatures exclusively during combat are pretty fringe and this thing just makes your team trample/indestructable and doesn't buff them. there are extremely few circumstances where i'd rather have this than say path breaker ibex, or overwhelming stampede, or triumph of the hordes, or any number of other things in green
this is one of those cards that a few people will be excited about on the internets but it'll never actually see any play, at least not for a sustained period of time
I know my friend will want this for his Mayael too. Maybe knowing how he adds cards could help out? He just has a pile of like 150-250 creatures for Mayael and he just randomly throws in like 40-50 of them at random so he doesn't have to make cuts and always gets surprised of Mayael triggers. Always thought it was the best strategy for that deck XD.

"Dies to removal" is still being used? Geeze. This guy will be a staple I think, because he blanks a lot of common removal options people like to use. Obviously he still "gets got" by exile, bounce, etc. but the fact that he is indestructible naturally is a huge deal, and saying "Oh I'll just remove him before combat" is a poor way to evaluate his impact.
Fact is, I'm not replacing Craterhoof Behemoth for this. But I'll happily run him alongside him. Giving indestructible and trample to your team is a huge deal, even if it's "only" when you attack. Being an 8/8 indestructible trample by himself is already damn decent.
Tl;Dr don't do this card disservice; he's pretty impressively strong in the decks that want him.

the argument is that its irrelevant and does nothing.
how often is your team swinging in there and facing destroy/damage effects during combat? almost never.
if this guy gets bounced/exiled before combat it also does nothing. so dies to removal is actually relevant when its effect requires you to swing.
so its a wasted slot if your'e relying on it for... anything really.
there are so many better options if you need your dudes to survive/get through during the combat phase - especially in green.
indestructible is one of those words that everyone gets all excited for, but it really doesn't do much here that couldn't be done with a different, more cost effective, and overall more effective, spell.
edit: defend it all you want, say dies to removal isnt' a legit argument here, whatever. give it 3 months, you won't see it anywhere.

I'm counting on nobody wanting to play it so I can buy a ton for cheap. In my Xenagos deck this thing will cause some heavy damage
Not good enough. Needs an emerge cost and text should read "creatures you control have trample and indestructible" you know like a green avacyn.
Lol in all seriousness i THINK stonebrow wants this? Problem is I wonder if i can fit another 8 drop. Its going with Archetype and woodfall, both of which are better in that it has an immediate impact or a static effect.
I mean I know it is hard to remove on its own despite not doing anything to the board, but am I just being too harsh of a grader because its not green avacyn? Why do I not want to autoinclude this?
I feel like this should have been swapped with Pathbreaker Ibex - his flavor text goes well with the Ibex's ability... and I want an indestructible goat (ever since I once equipped it with a Darksteel Plate).

I know your joking but you know what I mean.
Even without the +X/+X this dude is still nuts I'm still sticking with what I mean.
Besides there are known alternate routes of getting the same strength as it like Door of Destinies for example

Yep that's also budget. I like permanent trample for your permanents plus adds a touch of indestructablity
I just though because of trample for when they attack. And the same CMC but less restrictive.
