Love Saskia, it's exactly the commander you want for 'that' guy on the table. You know the one, the person with the esper control deck and a million ghostly prison and propaganda effects.
As "that guy" I dislike this commander. Not biased at all.
Jivan, has someone ever used the phrase "that guy" to describe an umbrella you don't fall under?

Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

ENOUGH OF THIS GAY TALK you guys have no proof they are "that" at all
It definitely does something with cascade. Unless anyone knows of another keyword ability with five lines of reminder text that ends with "on bottom of your library in a random order."
Alesha, Who Smiles at Death is a trans woman. So considering she is the cheapest and most readily available Commander option for Mardu, it's come as no surprise as well as a relevant ability that she has been a popular commander. Only Tasigur has spawned more interest because of Modern. Got no issue with them expanding the cast.
I feel that with the four color Commanders that this will go down as one of the best sellers in a while going based on the excitement that has been created with the Partners. Hopefully people will have more than enough options for four color commanders to last a while.

Life is a beautiful engineer, yet a brutal scientist.
MaRo often talks about how they took away from Theros all the Roman elements present in Greek culture so they could do a Roman Plane in the future. Could Saskia be from that plane? Her armor resembles a roman leather armor
I believe all the face cards are new characters from old planes.
Makes sense! What plane would she be from then? Dominaria maybe?
Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis are their name. I really hope they are awesome. I am hyped for them being gay, since I am, I really appreciate that wizards does something that not many years ago was considered "risky" for a game. Also, I love the fact that they cared enough about how we reacted to guardings of meletis to actually make them.

Ah ok thanks for the info. That's a shame to hear. I was really exited for a 4 color Zombie.
I wonder why they decided to go with all Humans and Wizards (who even look like humans as far as I can tell)?
Besides the Angel Horror she's the only thing that sticks out to me as a truly unique looking Commander.
Edit: and by unique I mean aesthetics. The abilities look cool just wish there was more creature type variety.
I'm most interested in the group hug deck. I want to splash in some control and library exiling so I can render my enemies powerless as I violate them...with niceness.
All this talk about representation, where's my furry card? A guy that sleeps with werewolves or merfolk or cat people, etc.? Don't I deserve to be represented too?
Am really glad to see the other commanders aren't just keyword vomit like the angel wound up being. While I still have zero interest in 4-colored commanders, they at least managed to make them seem interesting mechanically. I think of all the decks the one I have the most personal interest in is the artifact one, biggest potential to have cards I'm interested in pulling out for Lazav at least. Not thrilled with Wizards pushing a group hug deck though, moreso than Zedruu was, because group hug is cancer and not a playstyle that should be encouraged.
They released a deck description where they called it group hug. Also, we can pick apart enough of the card to know that at the end of your turn they let everyone play a land tapped. (And draws you an extra card)

Magic has catered to furry fandom since 1998 if not earlier. Though I guess Mirri and Gerrard Capashen never quite got together romantically despite Mirri's longings. In any case, MTG has had quite a few furries/scalies/avians/etc. for some time now. I guess they rarely explicitly note cross-species unions: Vorel of the Hull Clade would be one example.

Fanservice is not the same thing as representation, otherwise the slew of muscular, toned men or cards like Rakish Heir already cater to the gay fandom.
Stuff more along the lines of cross-species union (hey, totally adopting that term) is what I mean. I thought Vorel was the results of Simic experimentations than the results of a..coupling though.

True. The Mirri/Gerrard romance almost happened, but perhaps the fact that it didn't shows WotC wasn't willing to go that far.

You're right, I just looked that up now. I always assumed Vorel was an outcast initially because of mixed heritage, but nope.

Hopefully there is another 4 color Commander in each deck (and I mean each individual mana symbol no hybrid or anything like that)
Could be Ghitu's too, I guess (compare her and Jhoira's hair).
