Kondo is an old-school figure from Dominaria, Circa Mirage. I'm guessing, based on creature type, Bruse is from Zendikar. Ideally, though, he'd be from the 1920's and work in a circus.
One of the characters that players have been clamoring to have as a card is Ludevic, one of the mad scientists from Innistrad. Ludevic is getting printed in Commander (2016 Edition) as a blue-red legendary creature. He's not my preview card today (we're saving him to preview later this week), so instead I'm going to introduce you all to Kraum, Ludevic's favorite creation. His opus, if you wil
Yeah, with "unrevealed" I meant that the card wasn't revealed yet edited for accuracy though, thanks.
Partner is such a damn lazy mechanic. Oh we didn't want to actually come up with more 4 color cards, we just wanted you to pair the RW partner card with the UB partner card or something. Not to mention, will it be a recurring theme each year/more commanders with partner will be printed because if not then you can only have a pair of commanders from just this years' decks.
You don't think it would have been lazier to just put some abilities on a card and slap a mana cost on it? How long have you been playtesting the new commander meta with these cards?

MTGSalvation; Where the whining is a time honored tradition, and enjoying the game is trolling.
I like Ludevic's creation, an Aggro UR general that isn't just a combo piece. Moving away from the Status Quo, I like it. Gives me a good reason to finally play Mindwrack Liege. Maybe.
I love it when Wizards attempt cards that have the less popular theme within its normal color boundaries. Izzet has it's collection of aggro cards here and there (like Teleportal), so it's good to see a general that suits both aggro and card advantage. Partner is a nice gravy.

Lazy, perhaps. But admittedly, true 4-color is such a tiny design space if you want to make each one distinct. Partner is a pretty brilliant way to work around it, if you ask me.
I like Silas Renn and Prismatic Geoscope. The latter is amazing with Shock Lands. Well, assuming it checks the types twice for each of them. But even if it didn't, card is good.
Since Ludevic himself is going to be the other UR legend, I don't think we'll be getting our UR Artifact-matters Commander here either (Ludevic has the occasional construct, but those don't really represent him as a whole).
Btw for vorthos people. What Plane are the legendaries from. Atraxa is from New Phyrexia and Kraum is from Innistrad. I think, but could be wrong, that Silas Renn is from Alara/Esper but I am not sure on Sidor Kondor or Bruse Tarl.
I'm guessing from the ally type and Pillarfield ox in the background, Bruse is from Zendikar. Sidar Kondo is from Jamuura and is Vuel/Volrath's father and Gerrard's adoptive father.
Cool thanks. I am not really familar with the lore and flavor of the earlier magic sets. So thanks
YES! Co-commanders happened! It's a pity they named it Partner though, I thought that would work well as an activated pairing ability, especially for a Western block. I would have called the Commander 2016 mechanic Cooperate. But oh well.
They made a legend of Bruse Tarl? Great! Now we have Bald Bull as a magic commander!

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

More like design space for 4 color cards is extremely limited and difficult to create without feeling like it's phoned in (kinda like that stupid angel). I am completely unsurprised that there is only one 4 color general per deck, but I really expected better than what they presented us with. Hopefully the rest of them don't just follow the formula of "combat ability (or flash) from each color plus keyword ability found in 3 of the 4 colors (and the 5th color) or keyword appropriate for use on artifacts", or whatever their paint by numbers scheme is.
I really dislike the partner mechanic as well. It's the same terrible vein of ideas as planeswalkers that you can use as commanders. "HEY GUYS!!! Check out this way that we are changing the rules of your format for cards from this set!!!" is not a cool gimmick imo.

Bruse Tarl was one of those flavor text only characters; he had quotes on a few cards, but wasn't terribly important to the plot.
One of my more liked casual (not like it isn't anyway) variant of Commander is the one where you have a 2nd commander that costs less and has to be cast first. So I am happy with this new mechanic, opens quite the deck building potential.
Do you suppose one of our WB Partner legends will be the fourth Angel sister? The WB counterpart to Bruna, Gisela, and Sigarda? Perhaps the second legend will be a WB Cleric of the fourth sister's flight?
My bro is hoping for Possibility Storm in the UBRG deck. I think we can also expect some Oozes, which just so happen to cover every color in this quad. Warp World also feels like a must-include. Shoot, I always come up with a veritable list of ideas of what cards could be included in these products, so I'll go ahead and list them in spoilers.

(The two big hints being the large number of commanders per deck, and MaRo stating the team has "solved" 4 colors, implying a specific mechanic.)
