Hey, whether it sees play in standard right now or not, Wild Mongrel is pretty cool. I mean it's even a constructed playable card with reach. How often does that happen?
I don't even remember this card. Is it in SOI? Doesn't WotC try to make promos that actually see Standard play? They had a lot of hope for madness if that's the case.

Aren't promos planned in advance? I don't think they have much insight into how the metagame when they select promos. My guess is that they simply thought this card would be a player in standard, and were wrong (again). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

No, it's in Eldritch Moon. And it's been seeing (somewhat sporadic) play in the GB Delerium deck (you know, the one with Grim Flayer and Ishkanah), given it's a half-decent discard outlet (and therefore, a half-decent delerium enabler). But it's better in Peasant and Limited, and the GB Delerium deck's days look numbered in Standard...

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Nah, there's just so much new Kaladesh hotness banging around - WR Vehicles, Temur Aetherworks, the control decks that took out the PT... not to say that GB Delirium is going to completely go the way of the dinosaur in the new Standard, just that it's got a lot more competition now (and so the prices of the cards in the deck will reflect that... see what Ishkanah's price has done since Kaladesh was released... not dropping like a stone, but definitely slipping).
